This is my one real criticism of jeph and his art. Martens mom. She seems to morph in age from older woman to teenage girl depending on expression and angle. I dare you to tell me she doesnt look martens age in that last panel. Also, ditzy. If I knew how to do the strip slays I would replace that last bubble with "/giggle I dont know! Im just a girl!"

Really? I attribute it to the fact that he draws 97% mid 20s people so when he has to include their parents, its not as easy to avoid making them as, to quote Rock Lee, "youthful" Its just funny to see. Some of the comics she looks a bit pouchy and worn, and others she looks like she is martens age.
