Laurin wasn't Good, but a good mother? The evidence we've seen points solidly in that direction. Same for the ABD.

That's not what he said though. He said that 'the "mother" alignement in this comic is always good'. Which Laurin is most certainly not.

Ehhh...let's just say I disagree that the evidence (which currently consists entirely of things Laurin said about herself) points in any particular way on how good Laurin is as a mother. She talks a lot about her devotion to her daughter? Sure. And Tarquin has a large number of Father of the Year awards and has repeatedly claimed to be doing things (his sons didn't want) all for them.

As for the ancient black dragon, well, not to invalidate her anger over a certain someone treating her son as a walking target, I still note that she prioritized taking revenge for his death over getting him True Resurrected.

I agree with what you are saying. However, with regard the ABD's situation, is it not possible that there was no one who could cast that spell, or was willing too? After all, we've seen how few people there are that can cast just Resurrection.

The ABD had access to two scrolls of soul bind, which should in principle be just as hard to find.

Oh, I hadn't realized that they were both ninth level spells. Okay, then I totally agree with what Kish said.

And to add to that, she consulted the Oracle to get V's identity, rather than to find a means of resurrecting her son.

Not to bring back a discussion that's been silent for a few days, but I feel like I should mention for those watching at home that the Giant actually addressed exactly this question. So True Resurrection was not really as available for the ABD as Soul Bind was.

the comic is good but simple lines fit the comic better than detailed arms
