Wanda and Jillian... end-turn in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
Okay, I'm just gonna toss this out there, and see what you people think...
Wanda and Commander Jillian... old friends, or lovers. Explains the look on Wanda's worried face in 24, and why Jillian's having troubles getting Prince Ansom on one page in her head.
I also have one hell of a theory as to why they are lovers in a world based on the mental structure of Parson Gotti... ask if you care.Last edited by InfernalistGame; 2007-02-11 at 05:11 AM.

Yeah what the hell, explain away. I'm curious, thouh not like Jillian in your theory.
Doubt anything you could say would freak me out considering how much I've had to do with BelkarxMiko thread.Last edited by Alex Kidd; 2007-02-11 at 04:37 AM.

Re: Wanda and Jillian... end-turn in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
Okay, here goes.
Concept A)Wanda and Jillian are both attractive women, and potential love interests for Parson. Now, considering he games with an attractive woman, but isn't in a relationship with her (Who'd leave a hot gamer chick? No one, that's who. ), we must conclude that Parson must percieve himself incapable of claiming such a woman, either due to self-perception, attempting and failing, or her already being in a relationship. So, as you enter Erfworld, if it is indeed a extension of Parson's psyche... the two hot chicks must therefore also be unattainable.
Now, the second layer. If Wanda and Jillian are lovers, or better, ex-lovers, and Parson -does- end up with one of them, despite all obvious hurtles... he has achieved what is basically the tour-de-force of being a guy... not only being recieved as a optimum choice for a lover by an intelligent, attractive woman, but beating out the option of choosing a chick. Success would render him with the ultimate victory... Now, having achieved this result in life myself... the question is, if this is all correct, does his self-image and inherent sense of inferiority sabotage any relationship?Last edited by InfernalistGame; 2007-02-11 at 06:42 AM.

Nice. And surprisingly intelligent for a theory about lesbians in a webcomic.

Slash fiction... is there any idea that it can't pervert?
I'm going to leave this thread now before someone starts wonder about the methods of "torture" that Wanda will be employing. *Shudder*The Omnians were a God-fearing people. They had a great deal to fear.

I dunno. Wanda and Jillian have so little in common, except that they're both good at strategy. Heck, they don't even look much like each other.
Plus, I couldn't tell whether the look on Wanda's face was worry or sick, sadistic pleasure.

Re: Wanda and Jillian... end-turn in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
I was thinking that Wanda was simply looking forward to torturing someone that she lost a grip on her serious attitude for a moment.
But, as for the theory, it's possible. Although I didn't think it would give the comic a very good image. But, then again, its Parson we're talking about. Which really 'involved' games master DOESN'T include hot chicks in his campaign? Thanks to Tape Measure for my avatar!

The theory about Parson getting it on with one of them just seems, well, a trifle unlikely given the size difference...

My neighbors are a dwarf woman (who's actually kind of cute once you get past the height issue) and a tall (albeit skinny) guy who must be 6 feet if he's an inch.
They have children.
No, I can't wrap my head around the geometry of that, either...
But they're awful nice folks...

I am not under the impression that my theory has been disproved yet. Though, the evidence is admittedly stacking.

I'm just going to settle that it was fan service and nothing more.
Space Ghost: "Tell me, Chuck, ever thought of starring in a sequel to The Ten Commandments?"
Zorak: "No."
Charlton Heston: "Uh, I don't think so."
Space Ghost: "Not a sequel man, eh?"
Zorak: "No."
Charlton Heston: "What other commandments are we going to write?"
Zorak: "Thou that smelled it thine own self dealt it."

This was an extremely weird and uncomfortable installment ... The question whether these two are really intimate or just torturer and preferred victim with a long-standing history is still up for grabs.

I betting they were friends before the war. That or possibly related. However I'm pretty sure the whole slash you guys are coming up with is wishful thinking.

Re: Wanda and Jillian... end-turn in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
Certainly, they have a history -- Wanda is pleased to hear that Jillian has been captured again, and Stanley (who strikes me at the sort who would be oblivious to his underlings' wishes unless they were fairly obvious) knew she would be.
Fanservicey fantasies aside, I'm leaning toward the theory is that Wanda hasn't really had much success getting Jillian to give up information during her past captivities, and regards breaking her as a personal project.Last edited by SteveMB; 2007-03-06 at 12:35 PM.

Indeed. Then again she IS a necromancer so being somewhat creepy to friends probably wouldn't be too unusual. But yeah it's looking pretty likely, congrats Infernalist.

Re: Wanda and Jillian... end-turn in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
i'm going to go with something even more out-there: i think Jillian is a creation of Wanda's. some kind of golem, or more likely (given Wanda's skills in croakamancy) a re-animated corpse. it might explain why Jillian gets captured so often--she has to, in order to get the spells that animate her renewed. it would explain why she's so passive-aggressive around Ansom--she really does like him, but she's either under orders to not get involved with him, or she doesn't want to get involved with him because she knows she's probably going to betray him to his death. and it explains why she's so careless with her own life--she hopes she'll die, thereby sparing her from having to betray Ansom and the rest of the good guys.

Re: Wanda and Jillian... end-turn in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G?
i'd like to take this opportunity to say "i told you so, at least in part". it's not clear (yet!) that Wanda actually created or re-animated Jillian, but the rest of my theory (re: Jillian's behavior) looks pretty solid.
