AMEN XLVII: Who's the Leader, Again?

"Oh," says Harley, looking all around. Honestly, she doesn't know exactly which direction she's supposed to look. The wall on the left? The wall on the right? Down the hallway? Something else? "I've been better," she says, "but I've also been worse. Mostly, I've been trying to get back my motivation, because I lost it somewhere and it's not the sort of thing you can just find in your pockets after they've gone through the wash."

She takes a deep breath, sort-of like a sigh. "I mean, I had largely forgotten why I shouldn't just give in to whatever. But, fortunately, somebody reminded me what's important."

Oh, right! She remembers. She reaches into her chest where the Soul Gem is located, and pulls it out. It's not nearly as dark or cloudy as it was way back last time she came, which is a really good sign.
She smiles. "Now, I feel like I could conquer the world."

Well it seems like the voice is some everywhere, to the left, a little to the right than behind and far to the front. Like the hallway itself seems a bit more twisted then normal if one looks far down enough.

Ahhh, which world for even in the Nexus there are plenty. The grand world, the world of the postman, the world of pain the Moff which I turned into felt, the world of the Henchmen, or the world that Darkcomet thinks he lives in?

The voice coming from everywhere does make it rather more difficult to look in a single direction and feel confident that it's the right direction.

Harley returns the soul gem to her chest; can't let it sit out everywhere for nothing.

"I..." She has to think about it to answer the question. She had initially said it because it fit her state of mind and she meant it metaphorically and hadn't even thought about it literally. However, that is a good question. "I don't know yet. All of them," she decides.

Of course, since this isn't something she's thought of, she'll need to think of a plan for all of them. "What would be the starting point?" she muses aloud, because she does her best thinking aloud.

Times like these, she wishes she had a goatee because then she could stroke it deep in thought.

That actually makes a lot of sense. It's a wonder Harley didn't even think of it in the first place. "Oh; oh, right. Now that I think about it, that's really obvious." The hand rests on her shoulder. "I can't believe that's not the first thing I thought of." Even if you only think about it metaphorically, it is incredibly obvious and necessary.

"I...wow." She sighs, and closes her eyes briefly. "I must be really out of it." She turns her head to look at the feeling on her shoulder, at the hand. "Thanks. I think this was exactly what I needed."

Having been out for a while now, Zefir is back. He takes a look around to see if the henchman get along with their work, but on the other hand there is nothing really he would like to start. maybe he can talk to any of the other members and see if they got something to live AMEN up.

Zefir might just run into Ivaz. She is also recently returned to AMEN. And seems to be slightly bored right now.

I'm not sure Zefir ever met Ivaz befor. At elast I can't remember it right now.

"Hey there." he greets Ivaz "You look bored. No playn you could follow for now?"

Ivaz shrugs a bit. Eh. I ain't big on plans. Mostly because they always go wrong, and that just annoys me.

"Of course," Harley replies. A determined smile comes across her face. She nods. She can do that, and it definitely will give her a goal to keep her eyes on. She's sure it'll be something to look forward to.

"Thanks again," she says.

When she came into the building just now, she was feeling very lost and aimless. Now: she has a direction.

First, though...she was trying to find the way to her old room. "Now, though, I need to find where my room is this time..." Seems like the hallways are always different every time. Well, they are different every time, but that obviously doesn't make it any easier. She starts to walk off again, trying to find it.

"Plans never go so well around here." Zefir says.
"I was thinking some plans up, but they didn't really start. Msotly because they really didn't start.
For example I talked to those demons who attacked Vigil and managed to get the base destroyed. We got an agreement, but now I'm not sure about it anymore."

Wait, back up. Vigil was attacked? By demons? When was this?

"Yeah. That was a few months ago. I can't tell you much more. The demons keep themself hidden and Vigil has seeked shelter by one of their members. Why you ask? Got something in mind?"

Ivaz shakes her head. No. I was gone a while, though, and I guess I missed a bunch of fun stuff. What else has been happening around here?

"That depends. When were you gone?" he asks.

"Well, I guess you where here at the great betrayal. I'm in charg right now and we got at least a hand full of members. Vigil was atacked and the demons seemt o left their shelter.
I'm not really aware whatelse happened. I got some personal stuff to take care of."

"Well, there was Illophen that sold us to AMEN and the black Fire guy who blew up most of the cloning tanks from the henchman." he sums up. "Also the previouse leader Harley and Candypire left without a word. Which could be a betrayal as well.
Not that I mind they left, especially Candypire."

Ivaz processes all of this for a moment.

I get the feeling that some people really don't like us.

She wonders if the Harley she met earlier is the same one that Zefir is talking about.

"No suprise. other organisations got hater, too, but other then us theey try to make it less then more." Zefir replies. not aware that Harley is even back.

Ivaz smirks a bit. Way I see it, the more people that hate you, the more fun you're having.

"Just so long they don't stab you in the back." he replies. He then looks away for a moment holding a hand against one ear. Then he looks back.
"so you aren't doing anything 'evil' right now?" he asks, just to be sure "I might have something for you to do, if you want."

Ivaz smirks a bit at the stabbing comment. Those times could be amusing, too. If you do it right.

Then she shrugs a bit. Sure. What did you have in mind?

"Something's going on in Southside." he says. "Candypire claims AMENside and a foreign fraction has started to set their flag. We need more informations about them and maybe sabotage their plans while we are at it. If they got there for AMENside, they will come here next. I rather know it first befor they knock on the door. You think you can do that?"

Ivaz ponders this for a brief moment before answering.

"Not anymore as it seems. We leak members to watch over it. Since late non of our members has been there. I try to make a deal with candypire. So at least we don't give it up for free." Zefir replies.
"It bugs me that this happens right when some kind of army appeares there. I don't belive this is just a bunch of accidents"

Ivaz shrugs a bit. Probably not. Sounds too coincidental for my tastes. But, hey, you don't know till you snoop around, right? I can take a look around there, see what I can find out.

Anybody you want me to look out for? To avoid, or possibly kill?

Harley, after having successfully found her old room, eventually leaves it after putting it back together. It wasn't really much worse than it was when she left it. The debris was still around and most everything was still damaged, scattered, and covered in dust, but she still had nearly all her books, a couple of her masks, and a few changes of clothes still around. She put a book and a black mask in her purse, for later.

Now with those things taken care of, it's time to catch up on what has been going on with the base recently. She goes around looking for some way to get filled in. Maybe a memo, or a bulletin board or even someone's diary if there's still nobody around who knows what's up.

"Best is to avoid Candypire. He might turn you into candy. Otherwise I don't know anyone that is a threat for us or worth killing." Zefir says. "AMEN doesn't got a good reputation in Riverside after all so best you don't mention that to strangers, for your own sake."

Memos, bulletin or diary? I'm not sure anything of this is there, while I don#t know if there is any hidden diary around at all. Harley might come where Ivaz and Zefir are. They know more then enougth I say.

Since it is entirely ridiculous to expect someone else to have written in Harley's journal, she doesn't look for it. Besides, even if she did, what would it say? "Dear diary, I'm sneaking into this building under the cover of night just so I can write this sentence"? That would be pretty silly, if you ask me.

Instead, Harley walks in on Zefir and Ivaz. She waves and walks across the room towards them, to join in.
