To be fair, Player 3 ruined the campaign's ending mood.

Todays Ctrl-Alt-Del has an interesting news post. The new game he is talking about.... eh, I dont like it. Its called Hatred and its just so pointlessly violent that it bothers me. As far as I can tell there is literally no point to the game but to kill as many random people as you can before you finally get dragged down and die. Its a glorified school shooting style game. Hell, its so over the top it makes me wonder if they even plan to release it or if this is all a huge pr game where they will "regretfully" cave to the pressure of the people trying to stop its release, getting them attention for whatever they were really planning to release. "From the makers of the game THEY didnt want you to see, comes Carmageddonpacalypsenadodeathkillmurdermayhem! Buy it now, and see what we snuck past the nannies this time!"

Given that the new comic is called "Analog and D-Pad," I'm going to guess this is the new reality, not an MMO/Video Game.

I'm very curious to see where they go with it... thankfully it will update once a day, every day, for a month. So I won't have to wait too long. :P

I think compared to Ethan, the players were a breath of fresh air. And soon will be again, perhaps even to you.

It's obviously a small sample so far, but this Ethan isn't nearly as obnoxious as the old one. It's obviously still Ethan, but the veneer of competence (in throwing knives, at least) makes all the difference for me between 'comedic goof' and 'stab through eye socket with spoon'.

The art style is the biggest thing I'm trying to get used to, since it is so different than his usual 'art' (yes, the fact that Buckley can actually draw is a semi-pleasant surprise).

This sort of war-story is so generic at this point, I don't think you can point to a specific game/movie as being ripped off at this point (unless this is aping a specific scene in BoB, it might be).
