who is your favorite character?
Mine is Tarquin (I just love how evil and calm he is, he reminds me of my furst DnD character, since i did end up with a very evil fortress myself, so much fun ^^), followed closely by Belkar...
Who is your favorite? Why?

Re: who is your favorite character?
I can't decide. I really love O-Chul (a common option, yes, but for good reason - he's everything a paladin should be), but the MitD is so freaking adorable, and I love his character arc. I'm also really digging Bandana, but she's too new still to really be sure.

Re: who is your favorite character?
I like O-Chul as well, strip 547 was a great one and made me want to play a paladin.

Re: who is your favorite character?
DaggerPen somehow managed to ninja me here with her answer. Of the actual Order, my favorite is probably Roy or Vaarsuvius. Of the villains, I think my favorite is Nale. Another reason why I like the MitD is because he is such a mystery.

Re: who is your favorite character?
Either O-chul or Redcloak. O-chul because he is the living incarnation of physical and mental toughness and will, and Redcloak because he is willing to do just about anything to succeed in his goals.

Re: who is your favorite character?
V and Durkon are my two favorites, with V edging out Durkon by a bit. Having a character who didn't understand themselves enough to know their goals were the last thing they should ever be allowed to achieve is a wonderful revelation for the audience.

Re: who is your favorite character?
i never really got into Nale, he was evil and all, but i never understood his motivation to go out of his way to kill his brother. I mean, what does he get if he achieves it? of course, he won't now, and i guess he is there mainly to develop Elan, but nontheless i found tarquin wa there for pretty much the same reasons and Tarquin made a very funny villain.

Re: who is your favorite character?
Haley, of course. Who else could pull off sneak attack boot to the face, and figure out Shojo's facade, and unravel Redcloak's ploy, and withstand concurrent mental assault from Celia and Belkar, and get a nonverbal message to Roy with no forewarning? Oh, and she can handle enemies proficiently too.
Haley's easily the most versatile character in the entire comic.FeytouchedBanana eldritch disciple avatar by...me!

Re: who is your favorite character?
Gonna have to go with Roy (like me, the only sane man of his group) and Shojo, the only man who could face Roy in snark-to-snark combat and win.
Of course, there's no villain like Xykon!

Re: who is your favorite character?
In the order itself I've always really liked V. But my general favorite is probably the oracle of sunken valley.

Re: who is your favorite character?
No character is so beloved with so few strips.
I truly believe that he had to be removed from the comic because you can't be serious with such a hilarious character."We are the people our parents warned us about!" - J.Buffett

Re: who is your favorite character?
If I had to be honest with myself?
Xykon. The guy is funny as all heck, he has that strange odd evil wisdom thing going, real big on force, and I sympathize with him on the whole wizard thing, those guys just keep rubbing their smug wizard elitism in his face. and yet it is clear he is perhaps the evilest guy around and should be killed immediately. If he wasn't evil, he would be my ideal sorcerer: charismatic, funny, spontaneous and willing to take no garbage from those wizards. alas, despite all his charisma and hilarity, he needs to be defeated.

Re: who is your favorite character?
Definitely V. I've never seen any character for whom gender is more irrelevant, and it gives me strength.
Personality-wise, I'm not a big fan :P but they're still one of the most complex characters in the strip, and definitely the most complex gender-variant character I've ever seen.

Re: who is your favorite character?
Celia maybe.
Or Durkon.
Or Leeky Windstaff.
Also a fan of Sara Greenhilt.
Haley is also on the list.Black text is for sarcasm, also sincerity. You'll just have to read between the lines and infer from context like an animal

Re: who is your favorite character?
Haley. Cutest rogue in the stickverse. I fell in love with her even before Bandana confirmed that she is curvy. And she's a really nice girl, kind and tough and heroic.
On second place is O'Chul. Mainly because he showed me what a true Paladin is (or may be) like. And taught me much about how to play one - something I have later on had much fun from. Thanks to Gorbash Kazdar for the avatar: Edhelras Taladin, CG Male Moon Elf Ranger

Re: who is your favorite character?
Disclaimer: This reflects not who I like, but whose stories going forward intrigue me most. The characters I actually like are MitD and O'Chul.
From OotS, I am intrigued by V. She's determined not to make the same mistake twice. Which means she will make more interesting mistakes as time goes on. Which is to say, she's growing up. (Plus, I think Blackwing is fricking hilarious.) Also, the whole possession subplot.
Of non-OotS characters, I am most looking forward to Redcloak's story.

Re: who is your favorite character?
Elan, particularly when he is less stupid and more mind-functioning-on-a-completely-different-level. The Elan that made Lien say "an epic-level ranger couldn't track his thought process."
Shojo, for his humour, his cynicism, his deviousness and them being combined with good intentions.
V for getting more and more depth and for being that annoying arrogant wizard.
The Monster in the Dark and O-Chul, particularly when they interact.
Xykon, for being the perfect sorceror-lich.
Tarquin, for being the genre-savvy evil overlord par excellence, though I liked him better when he seemed like a legitimate threat.

Re: who is your favorite character?
O-Chul. He is what a paladin should be, and has replaced Samurai Jack at the top of the heap. O-Chul is what Chuck Norris wants to be when he grows up.

Re: who is your favorite character?
Xykon.
I frequently forget that as he shows up infrequently - but when he does show he immediately regains the status.
Outside of that I think Thog has a similar affect, and I am partial to both Belker and the Oracle.
Durkon the non-vampire version is liked for different reasons - he just seems so fundamentally decent without it being exaggerated in a way that I imagine is difficult to do.
