    No, not really.

As far as antagonists, we've gone from Ruler of an Ancient Empire (Lady Snaketongue) to Incompetent Mercenary (Black Hole Bill) who has a ship that's smarter than he is.

Space Stealth is still "as the plot requires."

AI is now "the product for the Ancient Empire aside from BHB's Ship for some reason."

And the last race introduced during the latest Nap Time was from a planet so indescribable that Mookie spent a hundred words not describing it.

I dont think lady long tongue counts as a ruler of an ancient empire since her first act as ruler was to kill everyone else in her empire and replace them with robots. Also, you forget we went from void angels, an interstellar group of super dangerous space pirates, to bill, to lady snaketongue, back to bill again.

So, does racial variation not happen in some races?

It seems almost as out of place as the Andorians calling people "Pink Skins" in a universe where Caucasian people are far from the only variation. Stupid Enterprise.

Not too mention that not many Caucasians can even be called "pink" Its like they said, "Well, I saw a human once, his skin was pinkish, sort of, I will call all humans pink skins even though 95% of them have a wide assortment of skin colors that dont involve the color pink."

Not racial variation on the features that are called out obviously. And this takes place far in the technological future, a lot of racial variations of an interstellar race you would expect to breed out naturally over time.

Maybe not. There is a big advantage to f1 hybridisation, and if you can keep a big enough population variable enough, you can probably make all off-spring f1 hybrids, so long as you can keep generating new variants.

Well, I ignored this for a while in the hopes that it would be funnier all at once like DD was, and it kind of is. Still not very interesting, but the unintentional humor shines through more.

Also I laughed at the last sentence here and am ashamed of myself. Dammit Mookie.

    New issue cover.

Okay, I admit, this could go somewhere interesting. Frankly, I was expecting Danica to have her powers back by now. How considerate of the many enemies she's made that none of them have tried to attack the station while she's indisposed ^_^

What enemies? Black Hole Bill was in prison, the countess is wherever imprisoned countesses of long dead empires go when captured by the federales, and Void Archon is on the lam with no friends and no money.

Garth and Mookie really need to stop leaving these one liner comments on their comics. I enjoyed Garth's review of How I Met your Mother though.

Yeah, I didn't even watch How I Met Your Mother, but Garth seems to have a good handle on how to enjoy melodrama. Better than Mookie does, at any rate.

While I have little hope for what is ging to happen I'll say the cover looks interesting, yes.

Nah, my theory is, that has to do with her finding some more of lady snake tongues collectible items. Or someone else was killing sentinels. Something along those lines. She will get her powers back when she needs them. On the other hand, a possibility is, she will get partial powers back. It works like this. There was this game called Lunar 2 Eternal Blue. (It was awesome) The thing is, early on in the game, you wind up with this uber powerful spellcaster character that is fully capable of instagibbing everything you face. I mean, once she joins the party, you just stomp through the dungeon like a natural disaster. Then as soon as you leave, the big bad evil thing attacks, removes most of her abilities, and a large part of the game is spent slowly getting them back. By the time you do, you are fighting stuff that isnt being stomped flat with ease because thats how powerful all your characters are.

That may be what happened here. She just facerolled her way through entire armies and armadas of powerful evil people like they were nothing. Now we know what she is capable of at her peak, she will be restricted by her damaged mitch unit and only be able to use so much energy at a time, meaning more strategy, less smashy smashy.

That would certainly be a good way to recover from the train wreck we've had so far. I don't find it all that likely, though.

New strip. Nothing new, really. Danica's wearing a red shirt, but sadly, I doubt she's going to die anytime soon.

Ah, but we learned that Mookie's record of "not letting characters he likes die" remains intact with Dots being on life support instead of extremely dead.

Possibly. It may just be a tint from the deactivated star power item added to her reflection. She gets the glowy white eyes normally.

    That's harsh

I feel like this is mookie's idea of "somebody who is horribly injured in a hospital"... like, she looks like she's not even seriously hurt. I mean, she got some bandages but otherwise...

Eh, as I said before, there was never any real chance of her dying. At worst, she's in a coma for a bit until Danica deals with BHB, and then makes a full recovery.

Im picturing a rocky style "adrian wakes from a coma and says "win" type of event.

"Oh woe is me! I cant do this because of reasons! Im going to die! Wha? Grex! Your awake!"

No complain about the new comic yet? Well, I guess not too much to say... Except let's hope the chief actually learns how much he was at fault for the totally idiotic set up for that transport. Also, how can she not have brain damage? Didn't bill at least hit her over the head with that thing?

Bill shot a guy in the head and he was perfectly fine after some timely medical attention.

Based on that and the plot, I've determined that no one in this universe has a brain.
