A lead of 3 to 2 is hardly a lead at all. It became 3-3 when Asteron voted for Phantom himself. I changed so it became 2-4 in the hopes that we might get a lynch. Your vote puts it back at 3-4.

What do you mean? ThePhantom has said something and even voted already. So that statement seems a bit fishy. It would be a rather obvious lie so it's probably just an oversight on your part, but there's a chance that you are trying to deflect a wagon.

I'm switching my vote to AsteronIronhoof. If he turns up a traitor I think I'll have a hunch of my own.

Kezzan scratches his head and looks around quickly to ensure his little hiding place was still safe. Yes? Good. Curling up in the small storage space once more he resumes his sleep.

Antioch looked at askance at Tanar.
"Threatening to blow up the power core might have been guff, but screwing with some of the ship's critical operating systems was definitely crazy, at least in my opinion as a medical professional. Why, think of being crushed by a fluctuation in the gravitic field, or of being boiled in your own juices should the ship fail to vent the necessary amount of heat from frying us. Not exactly the most rationale attempt at subverting the command line."

"I suppose that's true. Come to think of it, what were they trying to do? Take control of the ship? But, damaging her first?"

[Halae]

"It makes some sense at least. They probably have their own engineer for this sort of thing; if they take control, they'll just fly back and claim whatever they want happened. It's a battleship after all; they'll just claim there was a battle." Tabby says, frowning.

Eric, also known as ThePhantom had always done a good job as a doctor. He prided himself with the fact that he had never gotten a single complaint from his patients. Of course it can be rather difficult to receive complaints when you work in the morgue. Unfortunately for him, warships, even the ones as large as battleships, don't have enough space for a morgue so when he was assigned as a doctor for the Invincible he knew he would have to work with the living. That was very unfortunate because he was so close to finishing his experimental nanites that brought the dead back to life. Then luck struck once more when the mutiny happened. He had plenty of fresh corpses to experiment on!

He only stayed long enough at the conference to hear what the captain had to say before he bolted in search for corpses to store in the freezer. With so few left alive surely nobody would mind if he used a few cryogenic pods for the purpose. So busy was he, that he had forgotten all about traitors, crew or the fact that everyone else was arguing about who was most likely to be a mass murderer.

In the conference room the arguments weren't going anywhere until navigator Grant noticed someone was missing.

"Where did that Phantom character go to anyway? There's something off about him," she said.

"What are you talking about?" replied private Tabitha. "He's just a harmless doctor. It's you and your bigotry we should be worrying about!"

"Now, now private, the navigator has a point. That Phantom character never liked my shepherd pie and always asked for spaghetti. Even for breakfast! I tell you he ain't quite right in the head," added the chef.

As if that settled it everyone went in search for the doctor to see if he was up to no good. What they found was quite disturbing. He was alone in a room with what looked like several cryogenic pods that had been modified to cool the room. The temperature inside the room was dropping rapidly and if that wasn't strange enough the corpses that were strewn about completed the picture.. Everyone was soundly convinced that the doctor had to go but no one really felt like entering the room modified into a freezer.

After careful deliberation everyone agreed that ThePhantom could use some time to cool off. They welded the door shut from the outside without warning it's only occupant and left the good doctor to his fate. By their calculations it would only take a few hours before he froze to death.

Day One is now over. Night One begins now and ends in 24 hours.

It just feels so mean, that's the only real reason I have for disliking the practice.

A lot of people hate the day 1 lynch. Out of character we're all friends and hate having to kick someone out of the game so early.

But it's necessary. It's just how the game goes.

Antioch decided to go to bed earlier that night, he was exhausted after all the fighting and the chaos of the previous days. He was glad that there was no point in trying to keep watch anymore, after all even if some ship stumbled upon them it would be impossible to see it... or defend against it should it be hostile. He took a swig from his flask, that contained a liquid that wasn't strictly allowed by regulations, and locked the door to his quarters. He hoped the traitors wouldn't crawl through the vents to try and kill him or some such nonsense. The drink did its job and he went out like a light.

Hours later strange noises could be heard through the vents. They were so loud that even such a deep sleeper like Antioch was woken by them. At first he thought it was a dream but when the noises didn't go away he realized what was going on. Stupid traitors thought they could get him this way. They should've taken some lessons in stealth. He quickly ran towards the door unlocking it but before he pressed the button to open it someone else activated the command from the other side.

He stepped back as two men entered the room.

"You two! But how... I thought... the sounds?"

"That's just a broken drone banging inside the vents."

"You are crazy if you think you will get away with this!"

"How cliché."

No more conversation followed after that as the two traitors proceeded to beat him to death.

Private Tabitha was walking towards the mess hall in the morning in the hopes that she could get some coffee from one of the automatic dispensers. She was in full zombie mode before she could get her coffee and all the blood on the floor wasn't helping... Wait... blood? She opened her three eyes wide as she realized that there was a trail of blood on the corridor leading towards the conference room that had been used yesterday to discuss the traitor problem. She followed the trail and went inside. The scene that greeted her was nausea inducing. A corpse so heavily mutilated that it was unrecognizable lay on the middle of the table. On one of the walls there was written in blood:

Before she realized what was happening she was screaming and running away down the corridor waking up the rest of the crew.

Night one is now over. Day two begins now and ends in 48 hours.

Event

Aside from the obvious problem in the conference room everyone notices that the air seems thinner today. After a few checks you quickly come to the conclusion that the life support systems are failing. What's worse is that the only way to fix it is to travel in the peripheral parts of the ship where the radiation shielding isn't working properly due to all the holes in the hull and the fact that the ships energy shields are offline. No one knows what effects the radiation will have on your bodies... but you all know what the vacuum of space will do to you if the life support fails completely.

Today you can vote for up to three people to go and attempt to fix the life support. You cannot vote for someone to be lynched and to go there at the same time. Those that go will be excluded from the lynch. You can vote for yourself. The chances increase with each person sent on the mission. There is no risk of dieing but those that go may not return the same.

Alright. Well, since ThePhantom was a townie, let's see what AsteronIronhoof has to say for himself.

As for the life support issue...Hmm. I think the odds are decent of it being some form of power-role granting, but at the same time I don't want to risk it myself, so...Halae, aspi, Rain Dragon as people I'm relatively sure are town.

Ren had seen more than his fair share of suffocated corpses yesterday already, so when the air started thinning, his queasy feeling came back in full force. The corpse in the conference room didn't help much, either. There might be radiation in the periphery, but he wouldn't see it and at least he'd have a constant support of air in the suit. And most of all, he wouldn't be sitting around with nothing to do but worry. "I'll go. I'm just a marine, but if someone talks me through what needs to be done, I'm sure I can manage. I bet I can withstand a bit of radiation much better than you geeks." He grinned thinly at the engineers but without any real amusement "No offense."

((The two wagons on Asteron and Phantom seemed like random day 1 votes before they got a bit fishy, so I'm not entirely certain what to make of it. But putting some pressure on AsteronIronHoof at the start of the day could get us some answers, so I'll repeat my vote from yesterday for now.))

I dont think you can vote for three people and vote to lynch a person at the same time. That being said, I definitely dont like this bandwagon. It was a day 1 random with no information.
