Streets of the Town XVII

[Nevrmore]

((Didn't feel like having him paralyzed))

"I like you, lethality with a smile. We should be friends."

[Chaotic Bob]

"And why would I choose to be friends with a random street murderer?"

[Nevrmore]

The man smiles.

"Because soon enough, I'll be the most powerful man in this place."

[Chaotic Bob]

The woman leans on the spear slightly.
"And what makes you believe that?"

[Nevrmore]

"I've only been here for awhile, but I can already tell what the people in this place are like; self-inflated, engulfed in their own importance. They think they are the ones controlling this place, but their like a line of Dominoes waiting to be tipped."

[Chaotic Bob]

"I see and would agree with that for the most part. But that still doesn't quite say how you would go about gaining all that power..."

From the woods an illithid and another Rizzen walk into Town.

[Nevrmore]

"I'm not stupid enough to reveal secrets to a stranger. All you need to know is that I'm the finger waiting at the end of those dominoes."

[Chaotic Bob]

"Fair enough I suppose. But what makes you any different from anyone else in their inflatedness?"

[Nevrmore]

"Most people in the world aren't ruthless enough to do what needs to be done.." The man regards Cerk's dead body with a glance. "I am."

[Chaotic Bob]

"I see...so what happens now?"
Her gaze slowly shifts from him to the corpse, then back after a few moments.

[Nevrmore]

"What happens now is that either you agree to help me out on my little adventure..." The man runs his thumb down the edge of the blade, allowing it to cut into him, "...Or we fight and, in all probability, kill each other."

[Chaotic Bob]

The woman watches his thumb, considering the choice.
"I don't see why I could go with you. My name's Rachel. Yours would be?"

[Nevrmore]

"Adder."

The man moves on to his index finger, watching Rachel.

[Chaotic Bob]

Her eyes simply follow the dagger, betraying no emotion other than slight interest.
"So now that we happen to be properly aquainted...what's next?"

[Nevrmore]

Adder finishes all five fingers, idly switching hand and beginning on the other five.

"Now I find more like-minded people to join me in my quest. Can't build a castle without a strong foundation, y'know."

[Chaotic Bob]

((hm...epic spell NPC to PC!))
That's a good point. Do you have an idea of where to find such people?

[Nevrmore]

((I've got to go to sleep, for it's 3 in the morning and I've exams tomorrow, so let this be the end.))

Adder smiles. "Oh...I'm sure we can find a few. C'mon." He walks into an undisclosed area where he cannot be disturbed.

[Chaotic Bob]

Rachel follows him and puts away her spear.

The illithid and aRizzen slip into a dark alley, where aRizzen sleeps and the illithid keeps watch.

A bald monk with pointed ears and green eyes walks into the town, his finger absent-mindedly tracing the crescent line on a wooden disk that hangs from his neck. He wanders the streets for awhile to get his bearings.

(OOC)I am going to try my hand at this and see how it works out. The streets seemed like the logical place to enter the town.

Having gathered his bearings, Skjaldbakka walks into the Sleeping Elf Tavern and Inn.

[Vespe Ratavo]

Amy and Jennifer are walking along when a dimensional hole appears and reaches out and grabs them. When they return, about two minutes later, they're actually real characters and not just Gender Bender doubles. Jennifer has turned into a half dragon paladin, and Amy is turned into a evil Rakshasa sorcerer. The two shrug and continue walking.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul flies out over the streets, with Aeri held close in his arms.

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles, excited to see where they're going.

Nazgul lands outside of a building, and with a kiss, holds the door open for Aeri.

Aeri raises an eyebrow, but enters the building

Tasha leaves the police station and begins wandering the streets.

Aesa practically drags Rafael out of Trog's and glares at the doorway.

[Kyrian]

Rafael gives Aesa an amused smile and kisses her. Hey now, what's got this pretty lady all upset?

[AmberVael]

Damned bitch. Watch me drain the strength out of her the next time I see her.
Aesa smiles Rafael.
Nothing, I'm just eager to show you around, and I kept getting sidetracked.
She leads him off towards the slums.

Tasha carries on wandering the streets, thinking.
