[3.5] Building Bards
Hey GitP, Was wondering, what are some fun (and powerful) builds based around the bard class?
I heard to the Dragonfire inspiration bard, the sword dance bard and the one hander bard... but I have no idea how those builds work.
Can anyone give out any tips and stuff?

Re: [3.5] Building Bards
Some reading material:
Bard Handbook
Inspire Courage Optimization Handbook - Dragonfire Inspiration info is in this handbook
The "one-hander" "sword dance" Bard makes use of the feat Snowflake Wardance and the magic items Slippers of Battledancing, Crystal Echoblade, and Gauntlets of Heartfelt Blows.
One Bard build I like is Bard 8/ Virtuoso 2/ Sublime Chord 2/ Virtuoso 8. 9th level spells, decent skills, almost full Inspire Courage.Last edited by gorfnab; 2014-10-04 at 11:34 PM.

Re: [3.5] Building Bards
My headache medicine has a little "Ex" inscribed on the pill. It's not a brand name; it's an indicator that it works inside an Anti-Magic Field.
Blue text means sarcasm. Purple text means evil. White text is invisible.
My signature got too big for its britches. So now it's over here!

Re: [3.5] Building Bards
If you have exotic races available, it can be fun to challenge yourself by building a gloura bard.
Subclasses for 5E: magus of blades, shadowcraft assassin, spellthief, void disciple
Guides for 5E: Practical fiend-binding
D&D Remix for 3.x: balanced base classes and feats, all in the authentic flavor of the originals. Most popular: monk and fighter.
