For a second there I expected the ghost to cast knife eye attack. Then I remembered that there was nothing about Dr. McNinja remembering one, and he seemed to think it was a stupid idea as his mom did. So probably not knife eye attack.

Why do you assume that Grandpa McNinja is the only one who knows the mystic art of ghost punching?

So, does he not have a true name anymore? Or will it turn out to be something like if he speaks his name, the protection is broken and the curse takes effect?

I would suspect that's the case. Uttering his name will revoke the protection.

It seems as though he utters his name in that last panel, so wouldn't it be revoked immediately? Or is that him being possessed and giving up his name.

Also, it sounds more as though he just doesn't have a true name anymore. So he may not even know what his own name is.

Also, does this mean there were originally 8 ghost wizards? Because Dracula only mentioned 7. Or was he conveniently letting out the fact that he was down to 6 ghost wizards already during the fight on the moon?

Grampa also mentioned 7 wizards, so likely the latter.

The question is who spoke it and when. Dr. McNinja is the holder of his own name, and it has otherwise been erased from existence. He is the only one who knows it. Also, if the wizard is free anyway, why can't his name be said?
