Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
Sorry for possibly raising the thread in necro, but I hope it is worth it. I started the thread a few months ago, but got caught up with RL issues, to keep updating it sufficiently. However, I may have a bit more time in the next month or so, so if anyone wants to ad up his journals to the archive, please let me know! Info on the opening post.

Queen's Own Troubleshooters ("Find trouble, and shoot it.") - A rookie XD20 campaign

Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
City of Progress Campaign Journal is currently (and finally) caught up and revised from it's original incarnation.
New Features: All the chapters are on one forum instead of 19 separate forums... Yeah, that's it.
Nevertheless - I'm finally up to 19 chapters and we'll be up to 20 after tonight. I'll have the new write up in a few days!
Thanks!

Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
Been about 10 sessions since my entry was put up and the dynamic of the campaign has changed significantly. Updated entry!
Xorian Wars: Alliance and Rebellion
Author: Anxe
Genre: High Fantasy
System: D&D 3.5
Setting: Homebrew setting based off the Greek myths. Physically placed in an imagined geography east of the Black Sea, an area the Greeks called Cimmeria.
Point of view: 3rd person with occasional GM insights.
Description: The Xorians are expanding into the sovereign city-states of Cimmeria. They are ruled by the Dragovinians, a race of draconic vampires. The Dragovinians worship their creator, the living god Blendegad the Reaper, and their living firstborn, King Jevaninada the Second. The eastern city-states of Cimmeria formed an Alliance against Xoria, but they are on the retreat. The Reaper's minions successfully stormed the defended city of Phoenix. The cities of Eastern Cimmeria quake in fear at the power of the Empire. It is November and the Alliance must rise from the ashes and continue resisting the Xorians.
The campaign follows two parties of adventurers. One, a low level band of Dragovinians returned to their mortal status with amnesia. They now work for the Rebellion in Xoria to find the pieces of a lost prophecy. This prophecy could hold the key to defeating Blendegad. The low level band have completed their mission and further sessions following their group have been discontinued.
The other party of adventurers are a high level bunch that once associated with the Alliance opposing Xoria. They have since split off to form their own group that is following vague prophecies to fight the Xorians on their own.
Main features: First of all, the campaign is split into two different parts. A low level campaign and a high level campaign. The two campaigns occasionally cross over between each other. The campaign is heavily grounded in the Greek mythos making many elements of it recognizable to a Western reader. There is plenty of political intrigue and a few sessions have no combat at all due to this. I've started attaching an illustration to every session log. When combat happens it heats up pretty quick. The PCs just reached epic levels, so we'll see even more exciting stuff going forward!
Status: Incomplete - 65 sessions as of this posting (13 Rebellion sessions, 49 Alliance sessions, and 3 Combo sessions). Sessions happen an average of once a month.

Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
Not sure I can suggest anything other than this thread getting a sticky. It should be easy for us forumites to find and add to after that.
Hm... maybe Bloody Crown (totally stumbled on this one more than a year ago, cant stop reading it) being run by LCP or any of his others. Though, it is on this forum already...My opinion and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee at the 7/11, most others want the dollar too :P

78% of DM's started their first campaign in a tavern. If you're one of the 22% that didn't, copy and paste this into your signature.
Where did you start yours?
At an observation deck at Port Wander, seeing his ship for the first time and being introduced to the bridge crew/away team that he hired before arriving.

Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
I've got a new campaign to add as well:
"Desperate Men, Desperate Measures"
Author: Kid Jake
Genre: Sci-Fi
System: Star Wars Saga Edition
Setting: Star Wars, Rebellion Era
Point of view: 3rd Person, some GM commentary.
Description: A treasure trove of Clone War surplus has been discovered on a backwater planet barely in recorded space, more than enough to make any man that captures it a major player in the interplanetary underworld. Too bad for the unlucky saps sent to recover the planet's riches that its most valuable treasure turns out to be a scheming AI that wants to impose its will on the universe.
Main Features: Everything wants to kill them. Everything. The crime boss that trapped them here. The droid army they unleashed. The horrible jungle life. Even the weather seems determined to watch these people die.
Status: Ongoing and incomplete.

Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
Adventures in Vistora (AKA "Go Team Dumbass")
Author: Debatra
Genre: Fantasy/Humor
System: D&D 3.5e, with a few elements from other systems (like being Bloodied)
Setting: Custom setting of the DM's design
Point of view: Player, out of character, 3rd person
Description: What starts with a group of (evidently not-too-bright) tavern owners/mercenaries being sent to deliver a letter to an Orc chief turns into an interplanar war for their homeland.
Main features: Game contains a Truenamer (who went into it fully aware of the class's "issues"). Critical success/failure on skill checks is in effect, leading to some interesting situations.
Status: Incomplete; game still in progress. Usually played weekly, with each session posted before the next game. Four sessions logged, with the fifth in progress at time of writing.Last edited by Debatra; 2016-01-28 at 10:49 PM.

Re: Campaign logs archive- Story time!
Hey all:
# Nibbens: I don't update number of sessions every 1-2 updates. Just when a significant change has been made (say...5+ sessions). It's supposed to give the reader a general idea of the length of the log.
# Kid Jake: Added! Thanks!
#Debatra: Can you make the description a bit shorter? It's supposed to be short and concise, not the intro to the campaign. Also, if possible, not in a quote?Check my extended signature
