    Default Artifact help

Hi, I'd like some help homebrewing some minor artifacts. (I've never homebrewed before) I need them to be useful to solve puzzles, but also useful in battle(possibly). Think Legend of Zelda style.
I am in desperate need of ideas.
To note. the world is mostly desert. the main races are human, jackal people, snake people (not yuan-ti), hawk people, and crocodile people. There is also an ancient race (ie all dead or undead) of three-eyed humans whose spirits inhabit people when they die.

Associated theme of dungeons= Death, Life, Stone, Air, Fire, Water, Spirit, Body, and Maze

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Ideas
    bottle of the elements
    Polarity rod
    glasses of the dark eye
    Mason's Pick

    Bottle of the Elements
    ---
This strange little bottle has many different inscriptions along its clay surface - tiny runes depicting the basic elements of the universe. It resembles a jug of ale; its opening is blocked by a wooden stopper with a clear gem set in the top.
    ---
This minor artifact can contain various elements, even the more abstract ones. It can contain a wind, hold a spirit, contain a shadow, and even store light (as fire or an actual ray) among a multitude of other applications. Depending on how one wishes to use it, the bottle can accomplish a great deal of tasks.

    Polarity Rod

Takes an Element and turns it into the element opposite of it, only holds so many charges before it needs to be recharged at a special station, but it can revert elements it's swapped without using up or needing any charges on it.

    Glasses of the Dark Eye

Reverses Light and Dark so Shadows look like sources of light and sources of light look like they consume any light around them.

I'm liking this. All seem very useable. The polarity rod and bottle could be used in concert very handily.

    Thank you both.

You mean like a Mattock of the Titans?

Here's an artifact I put into a game:

    Golembane Maul
This maul seems like an Ironoak greatclub with Adamantine bandings, a mastercrafted weapon to be sure. When wielded, it is treated as a +1 Greatclub. When used to strike an inanimate object or construct, a Disintegrate effect goes off, caster level equal to the hit dice of the wielder, DC Con based on the wielder. When used in such a manner, the wielder takes 2 points of Con Ability Burn.

Actually. yeah. kinda. I was thinking more geared towards elementals and stone formed by magic such as stone wall or mold stone.
like +1d8 non-specific damage when used against an earth elemental. and it can dispell, destroy rather, stone made by magic just by touching it or something.

Then how about something like the Maul of the Titans, which does triple damage to inanimate objects, then add on a Disruption effect on all elementals with the Earth trait?

I just designed this for a game, but if you have snake people it might be a cool artifact for you to use.
