Re: Peebles' Perfectly Pointless Popular Prattle - Random Banter #211
Hm. I don't think that's enough for this. I need an image with more envy in it.
Re-al Life? I think I've heard of that?
Probably more than two. It seems to have been somewhat common practice.
I do that more often with breakfast, and end up with cereal caked to the sides of the bowl.
Well, I have met both Finn and Curly, but not both at the same time. Curly's vanishment from the forums did happen just a little before the meetup Finn was at which she therefore had to miss...

I totally missaw that as you dressed as Fonzie going Eeyyyy. Is missaw a word? I'm not sure how that would have applied to the situation, but now I can't unsee it.
Blergh. Today started out great and spiralled down the drain about teatime, as days often seem to do at the moment. The sooner I get back out the family home the better. If I have to answer any more dumb questions about my anti-depressants I swear...well, I don't know what I swear, but it wont be pretty.

What's everyone's favourite single episode of TV?

Re: Peebles' Perfectly Pointless Popular Prattle - Random Banter #211
It's really hard to choose just one. Probably Zuko Alone from Avatar, but I'm not completely sure.
I see now...
You're making Illuminati propaganda comics!
That sounds pretty cool, actually! I can always appreciate some from-complete-scratch programming. I was actually pretty intrigued by Notch's idea 0x10c before the expectations killed his ambitions...
And, well, I'm way too busy for putting any personal projects in the tube yet, so just some uni assignments, but if I get to write my own game in the future, I'll perhaps utilise its massive parallelism for AI calcuations and the like.
I have no idea whatsoever about how to go about writing an AI. I feel like if I did end up writing an AI for the game I'm working on now, it'd be tons more trouble than it's worth.

"In the Pale Moonlight" - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
"Innumerable Other Star Trek Episodes whose Names I Can't Currently Remember" - Star Trek
"Sense and Senility" - Blackadder the Third
"Tuttle" - M*A*S*H
And so many others whose names don't spring to mind at the moment. Sorry.Knitting my way through life, one purl of wisdom at a time.

Does Avatar get better after Season 1? I saw all of that and I just didn't get.
Y'know, I saw that entire series and I genuinely can't remember that.
Mind if I put you down for "The Inner Light"?

Re: Peebles' Perfectly Pointless Popular Prattle - Random Banter #211
Yep, you got me. It's an internal-only propaganda print, though, because we don't want to be found out.
Yeah! I think some other game designers might've picked up the idea and run with it for their own games. Can't remember any specific examples, though...
Nah, writing a simple AI doesn't have to be too hard, especially for games such as 2D fighting games and the like. You can more or less put up a condition-reaction table and add some randomisation to make it seem more organic. I mean, two summers ago, I wrote a Pong AI which calculated the impact site of the ball by looking at its angle with a normal-distributed error to it, and it worked really well. Given, Pong is a bit trivial as far as games go, but still.
Definitely. I imagine the Illuminate as a top secret organisation of people who are obsessed with being found out, not unlike stereotypical mass murderers. Hence they're manically compelled to leave all kinds of clues to their existence in the most ridiculous places, such as 9/11 videos and whatnot.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Re: Peebles' Perfectly Pointless Popular Prattle - Random Banter #211
Yeppers! They're everywhere. Even though not many times are their methods of spreading their influence as blatant as Teddy's comics, they still have many subtle ways of infecting the minds of the population. Luckily I'm safe, because I have a tinfoil hat lying around.
So much better. Season 1 is generally agreed upon to be the worst season of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the second worst season overall when considering the series' sequel The Legend of Korra. Once you get past Season 1 (and the first 8 episodes or so of Season 2), the show gets MUCH better. I highly recommend you finish it.
Now that I caught you, can I join the Illuminati? Or is it like Pokemon where if you catch an Illuminati member, they fight for you against small little creatures?
Yeah! I think some other game designers might've picked up the idea and run with it for their own games. Can't remember any specific examples, though...

Or I could go the route of my friend who thinks that using RNG for everything is AI.

Re: Peebles' Perfectly Pointless Popular Prattle - Random Banter #211
It is a happy weekend! Lots of rain. With the extra love of a thunder on Friday and a rainbow on Saturday. Cuthalion needs to be here with his happy rain avatar. The yard has ponds in it. The tree frogs sing all night long. Before they were only singing one at a time and slow. Flowers have bloomed and they were the de Caen anemones! I thought that squirrel dug and ate all the roots but I was wrong! When it stops raining for awhile I will take pictures. And then dig weeds for the rest of the week before the sun bakes them into the ground again. Desert gardens are a l ot of work when the rain lets you do it and no work the rest of the time. It is not what I am used to at all for a garden.
I do not have the envy. I am just very glad CurlyKitGirl got such a good surprise.
It seems like you are talking about the cute because people are using the cute when they talk about you.
I have no idea. It has been too long since I sat down with a lot of TV. There has to be something special I saw like a high quality play like
MACBETH
but no. No TV show comes to mind at all. Not quality. Not comedy. Nothing at all.
It sounds interesting to have. What did AtlanteanTroll call it? Studio art with the talent show. I like galleries.
But I am extra glad to hear that you kept on going well when your soundwork went bad. That is not easy to do well.
I am glad you said it first. I read how many applications you sent and thought wow that is expensive. But that was going to be very rude just to say. I do not know what CSS or IDOC are though. >Some kind of test.
Wow thiEALLYheadyv rain!"""""""""""
oh NO
not windspeed of a hurricane but oh noo h e si driving out there no :( :( :( :( going to go dworry now.I have found a RL gaming group but I'm willing to meet other GitP people nearby.

Woo! Draw Your Friends is imminent! I don't know where you went, but I hope it was a good place.
... I really should be going to sleep, instead of watching Little and Cubed, playing Sproggiwood, working on fanart, trying to write a respectful disrespectful memorial fanfic and posting this, all at the same time.
Also, are you still doing Daily Drawings? I still owe you some pictures.Spoiler: Pixel avatar and Raincloud Durkoala were made by me. The others are the work of Cuthalion.

That's the episode of M*A*S*H you chose? Tuttle? I mean, the finale may be a cliched answer, but damn it isn't better. But I like your taste in TV. M*A*S*H an Blackadeder, can't be so bad.
Yeah, this is wicked hard. Could maybe do my favorite episode from each of my favorite TV shows, but that'd still be hard. So I think I'll just say Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen. Technically, a TV movie, but ... eeeeh. Whatever.

Re: Peebles' Perfectly Pointless Popular Prattle - Random Banter #211
Yeah, it was pretty interesting. The problem is that they had to go up on stage and present their works, which meant that it got boring listening to people ramble on and on about the materials that they used. Maybe for an actual artist it wouldn't be so boring.
It's not easy, and that's why I really don't think I did it well. Looking back at the video, everything looked awesome until the halfway point, and then I just seemed to improvise and hope that it sounded something like music.

Anything goes.
I have seen it before and I did not come close to the reaction you describe. I'm just not wired to respond to that sort of thing like other people do.
My choice is technically a TV movie, too, so...
