Well I mean it seems like Ishida didn't want to be like his father because of the disgust of "tearing his Mom apart". But now that he seemingly knows the truth of why she died, maybe he's reflecting on how he SHOULD be more like his Dad, and should tear out the tumour that actually killed her, who's now right in front of him. It's an actually interesting character moment and makes me wish Bleach was better at...everything.

That's crazy talk, Bleach is super great at large parts of white/black background and not bothering with details like landscape/architecture. It's like King of those. That and Too Many Characters.

What do you mean by tumour? I'm not sure Bach's powers work like that, figuratively and metaphorically. And even so, we got proxy-Bach at the moment, and not the one who did the Auswahlen.

I can't really see how Bach's power is comparable to a tumor. If anything, I would compare it to some enhancing drug that you will develop dependence to.

Bach is a tumor on the entire world (Living and Dead). While it may prove helpful to some on the short term, in the long term Bach is cancer that will try to consum everything he touches.

Ishida's a pretty cool badass, yeah.

This chapter was okay just more build up really. Ishida's gonna fight Jugo, Chad and Ganju of all people are fighting a bunch of random giant sand soldiers that came from out of nowhere, while Ichigo and Orihime are going off to face god-dad.

Perfect omniscience plus super Quincy powers is pretty much a broken combination anyway. There had to be some kind of weakness for the heroes to exploit otherwise they should just give up. Knowing the author though, it wouldn't surprise me if the boss used his magic eyes before going to sleep and set up traps (or an alarm clock lol).

And despite that, I still hope Kubo resolves the Chad/Ganju vs Biggie Beefcake Brigade fight offpanel, because that just sounds as unexciting as can be. Haschwalt gets less and less like his introductory calm personality, and probably would fly straight to lalaland a few chapters into his fight with Uryuu.

A better translation of the 5 War Potentials are not War Potentials but Wild Cards, these are the 5 Wild Cards in the war.

Likely War Potentials
4) Ishida Uryū

Why Ishida Uryu? Because of several things.

• Ywach can't steal his powers or the quincy blood from Ishida Uryu as evident of the event 9 years ago. This may be different since he was bestowed a letter A and drank Ywach's blood
• Ywach sees him as someone that confuses him and flats out says so during the announcement of making him his heir. He states that Ishida Uryu may one day suprass him
• Ishida fights completely differently than all the other quincy. This may not make sense to you but let me explain. He has no special abilities shown so far, no raw unique talent. Instead he uses "normal quincy abilities" and the environment in ingenious ways. Aka he uses trickery, strategy, and tactics to defeat his enemies instead of raw power or talent. Think of him as fighting zero from Code Geass, you are not really fighting Leolch Lampage but instead fighting the enviroment which Leolch is manipulating similar to a conjurer wizard in D&D vs a fighter, archer, buffing magic user, etc.
• It is very subtle but in several chapters it is evident that Ywach can't see Ishida with his almighty eye but he can see things that Ishida converses with like talking to other people. Thus Ishida actually does better against Ywach via keeping everyone else out of the loop and doing something trickery and ingenious that Ywach did not see comming. Ywach must understand what is happening for his all powerful reality negation ability to work with the almighty. In other words you must uses misdirection like a magician uses, not illusions, but trickery to defeat Ywach's almighty eye.

Remaining War Potentials
5) There is one remaining spot for a war potential that Ywach foresaw if Ishida is the 4th war potential. Or there are two unannounced war potentials.

Actual War Potentials but Ywach did not forsaw them being war potentials when he made his pronouncement of the 5 wildcards
Ywach can't see the actions of any of the parts of the soul king. Things like the left arm of the soul king and such. Yet he can plan around them for while he can't see the actions of the soul king specifically he can to some extent see what the soul king parts do by seeing other people and how something is happening around them. He really did not see the left arm of the soul king for all in the end the left arm did was merely delay him and had no real consequence, yet some other actions may have been much more several and more debilitating making anything related to the soul king a true wild card.
