You are capable of stacking things.
Benefit: Choose a type of bonus except for ability, armour, racial, shield or size. Bonuses of that type stack for you.
Restriction: Multiple bonuses of the same type that come from the same source still don't stack.
Normal: Only dodge and circumstance bonuses stack.

Get out of my head Charles!

Seriously, I was thinking the same thing. Now I feel completely unoriginal, and sad, and mildly hungry.

That last one is likely unrelated.

Charles isn't a bad guy. He's nice, and understanding, and doesn't try to destroy you if you are opposed to him, excepting extreme circumstances.

LP, you should take some notes.

    AKA NotaPaladin.

And Charles is totally the bad guy. He treated Caine like crap all through their childhood, killed his sister in the womb and totally cheated on the empress of the Shi'ar Empire. Don't tell me that's not gonna end up biting us in the ass.

By following the methods of the greatest Truenamer of all time, you find your targets far easier to affect. The Laws, though, don't like you taking this shortcut.
Benefit: When rolling a Truespeech skill check for any utterance, you may halve the DC increase for the target's HD. However, if you do so, you also Curse yourself for two rounds. This curse doubles the penalties inflicted by the Law of Resistance while in effect (so if you attempt an utterance for the fourth time in a day while cursed, the Skill DC would go up by 16 instead of 8)

That doesn't work because the Law of Sequence's effect can't be doubled and the Law of Resistance's effect doesn't have a duration so cursing yourself "For two rounds" doesn't mean anything, plus the skill is called Truespeak. But otherwise, it's cool.

Yep, definitely not a Paladin. Maybe the LN (leaning LE) psionic with an unusually high charisma score.

I don't destroy those who oppose me. I attempt a diplomacy check and then show them the error of their ways. It isn't my fault that charisma is my main stat and I happen to stick all my points in diplomacy.

Huh. Sorta how Snowbluff likes his PCs! I'm fairly certain after my time on this forum, I have discovered that paladin has become synonymous with punching bag. But it's all in good fun, right?

But it would normally only go up 2 (to a total of 8), and you're trying to make it go up 10 to a total of 16 instead. Unless you really want it doubling the end LoR penalty. Oh, and doesn't work on Crafted Tool or Perfected map utterances, deliberate?

Also, the feat is almost never worth it, sorry. If you're the kind of person who can eat the LoR penalty without being very sad, why do you need the +HD/2 bonus to truespeak again?

We here on giants have discovered that 2000% of all paladins have very little intelligence and are incapable of interpreting their code as anything except kill anything that pings evil on the evildar and anything that breaks the law.

Sure sure. that's why I edited in a link to my favorite fizzy drink. You should definitely try it sometime.

I suppose it's just from a literary perspective that the cynical knight appeals to me more. I have nothing against farm boys, but the guy who knows how terrible the world is and still fights to make it better? That's a hero to me.

Paladins Inc. denies the accusation that 2000% of our esteemed and loyal staff would behave in such a manner. The quality of our hiring staff is of the highest quality and is led by Mr. Red L. E. Fel, who we have had on staff ever since my ring of undetectable alignment went missing. In collaboration with him, we have made sure that every stat our paladins have will never fall below 10. Crimes against the forces of Law and Good have never been lower.

I like that drink... and that link was pretty funny... you are forgiven.

I am a big fan of the "last bastion of hope" type of paladin. I like that they know the world is awful, but they can't be brought down, because if they lose hope, all is lost.

It's more simple than we're making it out to be. To utter, you need to take a truespeak check, but the DC goes up 2 each time you use the same utterance.

You know sometimes sigil comes across as kinda lawful in it's effort to remain neutral. Also, that wasn't very funny. Anyone got a better one?

definitely better. hmm, Being giants i think it needs to be needlessly complicated so it isn't funny, and then keep going until it becomes funny again.
