Re: Webcomic List
Clockwork Game (first page) is a retelling of an interesting historical account (the story of "the Turk" chess-playing automaton).

Re: Webcomic List
I've officially changed my webcomic medium from photographic to sprite, due to the fact directing and posing people would just become too difficult... not to mention trying to pose the cat...

I like this comics pretty much and it makes me chuckle.

If the criteria for webcomic is "only published @ web" then it might be a wrong choice as there exist also books, you can buy.Last edited by Phoe; 2008-04-23 at 01:38 AM.

Re: Webcomic List
Actually I believe it's syndicated as well, and is put in daily papers nationwide.

Re: Webcomic List
One I just recently started reading: Circle versus Square
As the title would suggest, it is about two shapes that get on each other's nerves. It basically has no drawing, but the dialogue is pretty funny.
Also: Garfield minus Garfield
It's Garfield... except funny, because Garfield has been removed.

Re: Webcomic List
Hi everyone!
I go by The Midge and have a webcomic hosted by Drunk Duck called [blood/hound].
Here's a synopsis:
Homicide Detective Yokai Urufu understands too well the dark stain of ones past. It reminds him nightly in blood-soaked dreams where people die by his very hands. He is marked and there is no way to remove its oppression. Yokai turns to his current job as a homicide detective for a respite. But it seems his past now wants to take hold of him again apart from his nightly dreams. It appears Mckinney, a former partner of his from the police force, has been abducted and gone missing and the Chief has called on Yokai and his abilities for assistance.
You see, Yokai isn't your average police detective. Yokai is a demon who can with the tiniest bit of blood track a person like a bloodhound. But unlike the canine from which his monicker comes, Yokai can transmogrify into a wolf/dog-like creature by melting into a pool of blood and emerging from within transformed with the ability to create portals. By these portals Yokai can track a person anywhere and where ever that person's blood may be, even to its source.
These abilities although now used for solving crimes have been purposed and honed from his birth by a clan of demonic assassins who raised him and were the only family he had ever known. Denouncing where he came from, he walked away from that life and his family. Redefining himself and searching for a new purpose and possibly a new family and a new life, it appears Yokai has been able to do just that. But like the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be a freight train, Yokai's past is on a collision course with his present. The clan wants him back. But not everything is as it seems.
[blood/hound] is a horror/suspense story told in a noir style inspired by the classic black and white films of Akira Kurosawa and Anime films like Ninja Scroll with a smattering of comedy in tradition of Evil Dead. The comic is slow placed so atmosphere and tension can be built leaving the reader on the edge of their seat.
A real page turner!
Check it out and let me know what you think!

Re: Webcomic List
I have a pretty decent webcomic to offer:
The Arbiters (First)
Description : A comic about four unusual people who escape a secret government facility known as Terrene. This is a humorous paranormal comic about the adventures of the four escapees to find out who really controls this planet. Featuring an alien, an elf, an android and a dragon.
Content : Contains some blood and violence.
Rating : I'd rate it at PG. Feedback I've been given is that it can start out a little slow to some, but it does pick up and get interesting. Definitely something different from fantasy and gamer comics. :)
(Not that there's anything wrong with those)

Re: Webcomic List
Here's one I've been reading for a while that I find excellent:
Amazoness!
The writer is British, and the comic has just reached issue 100 and is wrapping up its second story arc. There is also some bonus items, such as a parody of Super Smash Bros. Brawl with the main characters (naturally changed to Super Smash Sisters)

Re: Webcomic List
My site is right off the shelf. Fourth attempt at a webcomic btw. I'm the writer, my name is Andy Woodyard. My artist is from Argentina, and his name is Andres Carranza.
Our comic is a b/w full page story about people with supernatural powers in the late 19th century.
Let me know what you think. I'd love to hear some feedback. Send me a private message here or e-mail me at [email protected]

Re: Webcomic List
Hi
I have a question(it's okay to ask about questions I presume) I have been looking for a comic, I once read and i cant remember the name of the comic. It was about a guy who just had a baby and he looked back at the time, he began roleplaying together with his friend and brother.
I was hoping that you could help me find it.

Re: Webcomic List
Hullo hullo.
I used to write for the now defunct webcomic Nazi High. I now have a new comic that I do horrible, horrible artwork for as well called God Shaped Holes. I totally remembered methodically researching where all my hits from Nazi High came from and I remember quite a few from this forum, so I thought I'd post my new comic here too.
