The real DP got disciplined very hard by this guy. It was a good time.
An NPC class? Bleh. I'm just a fighter who invested his skill points in a very oddly specific way.Last edited by DraPrime; 2016-07-05 at 05:17 PM.

Re: Aegis J Hyena's Super Hyena Fun Show: Random Banter Thread #215
So, the first five minutes of Zero Escape Volume 3: Zero Time Dilemma has...basically proven to me that games are art. I've sent so long waiting for his game, the excitement is real, and it's time to play.
Spoiler: Massive spoilers yo!
At the start of the, Zero the Second gives us all a simple guess of 50/50. He flips a coin and hides it with his shoe. If we guess it right we all go free. If we guess it wrong, we continue the game until 6 or more people die.
I guessed right. He let us go. We got one of the endings. We are legitimately let go, immediately, with zero fanfare, and the credits roll.
I just about died laughing. All this time and I beat the game in one move. Well played, good game, I've defeated all your tricks and traps by simply circumventing them through a 50/50 split chance.
And this makes...500% sense in the context of the universe and how it tells stories and what it's trying to actively do with this game as a whole. It is fantastic. It is...truly art.

Ugh, it's such an annoying feeling when you find a really nice song but its lyrics are simply nowhere to be found. I can pick up some of the lyrics as I listen to the song but it'd still be nice to follow the song with its lyrics on the side at least a couple times.

I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Re: Aegis J Hyena's Super Hyena Fun Show: Random Banter Thread #215
Heh. Only South African?
The best thing about those music videos in the middle of the forest are the power cables that go nowhere. It's like they go; okay, we'll set up in this clearing here, don't worry about power, the forest fairies will come and help a brother out.
There's a great video by Aussies Caligula's Horse (y'all should check them out, but the way, they are bloomin brilliant. Jim Grey's voice is heavenly), where one of the overhead shots clearly show the cables just... stopping. Love it.Awesome fremetar by wxdruid.

Trevor Noah came to a close second - and only because I haven't had the chance to talk to him even on a forum platform.
It's actually very likely that someone lives right around the corner. I mean, I used to live in a place where it seemed that the cables were going nowhere. Breaks the magic, doesn't it?Originally Posted by LaZodiac

Strabismus is when one's eyes aren't centred straight. For me it seems to be just one eye, left to be exact. Gets worse throughout the day. I kinda suspected I'd have to go to the eye specialist from the start, but eh, didn't hurt going to the optician since I had a coupon for a free check up.

Re: Aegis J Hyena's Super Hyena Fun Show: Random Banter Thread #215
Canada's East Coast is my favourite part of Canada so far, contending with Quebec because the people there don't have to wrestle over my stumbling French. I swam in the ocean on Prince Edward Island -- the water was 14 C. It was rather like being given an invigorating full-body massage by Edward Scissorhands.
I'll be in my bunk.
Restocking? You mean that harpy took all the Pinotage with her?!
How I envy you. How I miss being alone.
Sounds fabulous. Is it berry season there yet? I had a few wild strawberries and raspberries in Nova Scotia, but it was just a little bit too early to get anything substantial. Torture to pass oodles of blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry plants every day covered in flowers. It caused me to reflect fondly on the hike we took during your visit that was basically an outdoor market garden of berries.
Assuming the winner is pretty young and will live on for another 75 years, that's 3 million dollars a year. If you can't live comfortably on that, your standards are probably a bit too high.
Good luck with that. It sounds troublesome. Would you need a surgery for that or can the glasses be made in a way to compensate?Last edited by Kneenibble; 2016-07-07 at 01:02 PM.

Hey, 14°C is a good temperature to swim in! I love cooler waters as they somehow feel very soothing to the soul. Refreshing.
Eh... Hmm. I don't think my case is so bad that I'd need surgery. There's something called "prismalasit", roughly translated as "prism lenses" that are supposed to fix it, at least temporarily.Originally Posted by LaZodiac

Re: Aegis J Hyena's Super Hyena Fun Show: Random Banter Thread #215
Cold water can be nice if you've got something hot to escape to afterward. I'm pretty resilient to the psychological effects of cold, but my body doesn't last very long in any outdoors water, really, so I need a hot tub or a sauna to heat myself up if I stay in it too long. A good old bonfire works too, if I've got a towel to protect my back with.
Ooh, yes, there were tons of blueberries (the good kind, not your flavourless knock-offs ), and smultron along every road and clearcut. The only thing that prevented me from stopping to eat more often was the fact that half of the time someone would walk right into me if I did, and the other half I would merely block the path for everyone else.
Well, I'm talking from the perspective of us common mortals. Your budgieness is of course not the general case.
Speaking of nothing, Stellaris, bane of my sleep, comes with a portrait for a race of budgerigar people, which I quickly adopted for my first custom race. Born were the Knibbles, lead by their glorious leader Kneenibble, destined protectors of the galaxy.
It's still a work in progress, though. Some of the names need to be tweaked, and a few of their traits and ideologies are more what I wanted to play than what fits the best for a flock of charming budgies with an impeccable eye for quality.

Heh. I sort of let my Stellaris game fall off a little bit. Found a fallen race, got embroiled in a couple wars, but then started getting overtaken. I got back into Terraria instead and am eagerly waiting the release of Starbound.

Re: Aegis J Hyena's Super Hyena Fun Show: Random Banter Thread #215
Yeah, stay away from the fallen empires and research bigger guns instead. Although the Enigmatic Observers are pretty good trading partners: You give them some excess strategic resources and they'll give you over a hundred energy credits per month for 30 years. Maintaining a huge fleet with one of those around is childishly easy. The Knibbles haven't been on the lazy side when it comes to stocking up on energy credits themselves, but just taking the Grand Star Flock out of the star port costs almost 100 energy per month, so this boost is quite critical to me in wartime.

Personally, I'm fond of Moose Jaw - there's this delightful little fudge shop there that sells something they've aptly named "Heavenly Goo."
I really ought to get back up to Canada one of these days.
Ah, but wouldn't those be almost cheaper than most lavish robes in the long run, since spider silk is so durable? Buy one for each day of the week and you can be set for life.

Season 1 of Gunslinger Girl is worth watching, albeit the whole premise is kind of anvilicious. Season 2 switched animation studios forrrrrrr some reason and Iiiiiii don't actually know if it's worth watching because I stopped after one episode. Aaaanyway, the dub's on Hulu if you want it.
