Fingers crossed that part 5 doesn't kill the series though.

Re: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure; Part I: We're Lacking Poses!
Not as far as I know. Part 5 has the most boring, wooden protagonist in the series (yes, even more than Jonathan). It's like being the son of Dio, but with Jonathan's body is multiplying by a negative. +Dio*-Jonathan = -Dio (a character as boring as Dio is flamboyant). He also goes full Mary Sue by the end.
There's a good supporting cast at least.
The plot leaves much to be desired. There's never much urgency as far as the grand scheme...and you don't really connect to Giorno enough to care about his goals or what happens to him (unlike Josuke and the Duwang Gang). It's sort of like part 3 in that regard (the protagonist sucks, his supporting cast is great) but I'm less willing to forgive the same mistake twice.

Re: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure; Part I: We're Lacking Poses!
There are some issues with Part 5 but it's also "the most Jojo" of the Jojo's until part 6 gets the half way point. It's also stylish as hell. It'll last.

In Japan, mostly. Which is why I'd be shocked if the Part 5 anime doesn't get made, it's almost as popular as Stardust Crusaders there.
Stone Ocean, I'm not so sure about. It's not one of the better-known parts, so if Vento Aureo doesn't do very well, I'm not convinced they'll make it. Which would be too bad, because Jolyne's my second-favorite Jojo, and I'm pretty sure that ridiculous ending will make a bit more sense animated.

Part 5 also has one of the series' best moments with the return of "Wryyyy".

Re: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure; Part I: We're Lacking Poses!
So, question/challenge time. We all know how each part of JoJo has its own gimmick in terms of plot structure: Stardust Crusaders is a globetrotting adventure, DiU is half slice-of-life and half murder mystery, Stone Ocean is a prison story, etc. If you were put in charge of writing the next arc, and given complete freedom to take the series in any direction you wanted, what kind of plot would you write?
I'd probably do a Fate/stay night thing. Somewhere in the new JoJo's hometown, someone's lost track of an Arrow, and every power-hungry Stand-user for miles around has come to try and get their hands on it. Most of them are bad guys, and one is the really big bad guy who would be seriously bad news for everyone if he gained that kind of power. Thus, JoJo gets pulled into the race to find it first, so they can keep it out of the villains' hands and, hopefully, get the boost they need to defeat the big bad. Battles with rival seekers ensue.

Re: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure; Part I: We're Lacking Poses!
Considering Part 9 would be the last, if I remember correctly, I would take on an Eyes of Heaven'ish idea.
Spoiler: Eyes of Heaven & JojolionA combination of all the Jojos from diferent eras towardss ending an ultimate-ultimate enemy. That would make my internal fanboy scream in pleasure.
A modern setting looking for something similar to body parts would be good, mostly because they were forgotten in Jojolion for the sake of the fruits, and for the time being, even if they are important, their impact as the pieces of Jojosus is less.
There would be no need for introducing new Jojos, but if you had to ask me, I'd introduce back Shizuka Joestar, or another female Jojo. I kinda know Jolyne's not the best protagoist, but it was interesting nonetheles.
EDIT: By the way, anyone reading the ligth novels or spin-offs?
I just read Dead Man's Questions, and I'm currently into Purple Haze: FeedbackLast edited by Yael; 2017-04-19 at 10:30 PM.

Re: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure; Part I: We're Lacking Poses!
I introduced my old roommate to JoJo yesterday, which means we binged through Phantom Blood.
Like most folk here, I remember it as my least-favorite part. But that was fantastic. At most half an episode of filler. Ultra-violent & a story that keeps getting crazier. And phenomenal music on the opening & closing.
JoJo is life.If it's not obvious, insert a after my post.

Josuke's hair looks like a burnt slab of steak. Just speculation.

Spoiler: When early morn walks forth in sober grey. - William BlakeOft when the summer sleeps among the trees,
Whispering faint murmurs to the scanty breeze,
I walk the village round; if at her side
A youth doth walk in stolen joy and pride,
I curse my stars in bitter grief and woe,
That made my love so high and me so low.
O should she e'er prove false, his limbs I'd tear
And throw all pity on the burning air;
I'd curse bright fortune for my mixed lot,
And then I'd die in peace, and be forgot.
