Tonight? Tomorrow? Butbutbutbut this is the intarweb! Intarweb is nevar late!
Guess I'll go re-read the archives again...
EDIT
Rather than double post, I'll edit. But I get the 'orrible, 'orrible feeling that the update for the 17th was for OotS and not Erf...Last edited by DCR; 2007-07-17 at 11:55 PM.

Re: Next Update, Tuesday July 17
I'm curious how many offers have been received to handy carry the bits of the current update to the webservers. (Or at least offers to lend a passenger gwiffon.)

Re: Next Update...Feh, Soon! Soon as we can!
Again, my apologies. All I can tell you is we're doing the best we can. Update may be tonight.
This page is a bear, and the con was a lost weekend. The script, however, is positively singing. The next 8 pages are going to raise the bar, I promise.Rob Balder, Erfworld author/co-creator, and creator of PartiallyClips

Tips for other addicts:
1) Printing and devouring past pages of Erfworld with milk doesn't satisfy the cravings as much as you'd think.
2) OOTS and Erfworld appear to be separate addictions, and satisfying one doesn't appear to appease the other.
3) Drinking caffeine so as to be able to click "refresh" faster is surprisingly counter-productive
4) Reading the Motivators and Demotivators produced by other fans is mildly therapeutic.

Re: Next Update...Feh, Soon! Soon as we can!
I think he means a "lost production weekend." As in they had so much fun, met so many people, autographed so many t-shirts that they didn't get the comic done and uploaded using the hotel's business lounge as they had originally planned.
Of course, I could be totally wrong, and missed the "Cons are teh suck!!!111" post somewhere. Wouldn't be the first time. Thanks to Ceika (X2), Yeril, Holammer and Dr. Bath for the Avatars!

Rob posted on the Conventions thread (short version: the con was good, but various travel snafus and whatnot kept rearing their ugly heads).

Of course their tardiness is epic - they're Titans.
Alignments are objective. Right and wrong are not.
Good: Will act to prevent harm to others even at personal cost.
Evil: Will seek personal benefit even if it causes harm to others.
Law: General, universal, and consistent trump specific, local, and inconsistent.
Chaos: Specific, local, and inconsistent trump general, universal, and consistent.

Re: Next Update...Feh, Soon! Soon as we can!
Using Blizzard as a standard or reference or anything at all regarding time is cruel and sadistic.
Especially when I'm waiting for something good.

Re: Next Update...Feh, Soon! Soon as we can!
At this stage, it might just be best to call the Tuesday update a write-off, and post the next strip on Saturday. Waiting is a lot easier with a fixed deadline, of this I am certain.

Re: Next Update...Feh, Soon! Soon as we can!
*Sigh* I don't know about the rest of you, but I know that *I'm* annoyed by the delays.
My thoughts lie somewhere in the region of "Why are the priorities being placed on promoting the webcomic by attending conventions instead of creating it." Like, when the band is on tour promoting the new album, they're not at the studio making music. "What's more important? The process of creation, or the culmination of readers?"
And still I wait for page 62. *Long, drawn-out sigh*

Re: Next Update...Feh, Soon! Soon as we can!
The process of payback in in positive feedbacks (and money from merchandising) is far more important from time to time than the creation of new art.
Though I hope Rob and Jamie won't rely on their achievements in the past and keep making new strips. Please don't make Erfworld a 61-hit-wonder.
Edit: I forgot the klogs. Shame on me. Let's count them as "booklets".Last edited by Waldgeist; 2007-07-19 at 02:28 AM.
