Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I'm so bored with the plot and I actively dislike most of the characters now.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I honestly think this new story twist is one of the most interesting ones we have had for quite a while.
And i also dont think neither of the girls are fake. That would be a boring way to resolve this problem.
But it is surprising how easily the court plays into Loups hands when it comes to alienating ForestAnnie.thnx to Starwoof for the fine avatar

Uh oh! The author comment says that this isn't Reynard, it's This Guy! Why is Eglamore disguised as Rey?!?

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
Easily? They have every reason to be suspicious, and could have treated her a whole lot worse than they have been.
In that case you kinda need to treat either both with suspicion or none.thnx to Starwoof for the fine avatar

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
Tony has actually been a really interesting character since his return. He hasn't had any character development* he has just been a riddle that we have been decoding with access to more information.
*ymmv
I suspect he has had a little bit? Mainly in working on dealing with his grief. And learning, or at least trying to learn, to deal with his daughter?
Though personally, i have respected him ever since he looked Coyute in the eye and said "no"thnx to Starwoof for the fine avatar

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I hope they aren't being as cruel to Reynardine as the lack of lead in makes it seem.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I'm sure the higher orders of the Court would have no trouble regarding one, two, or many Annies with suspicion. It seems to be their default mode, after all.thnx to Starwoof for the fine avatar

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
They are demonstrating proof, as only Annie has command over Reynardine. It could be that they reached a point of that being a means of identification.
The problem is that telling a 4 legged creature to do a backflip is unnecessarily harsh, unless Renard did one of his mindless sass comments.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I am aware of that. I just think that "spin counter clockwise 7 times, then lie on your back" works just as well without making an uncomfortable maneuver. While Renard probably doesn't feel crippling pain in his form, he probably gets awkward sensations from weird contortions.
Granted his reactions may be entirely due to reflexively pulling a complex maneuver due to compulsion. In which case, my above impression is entirely moot.

Have the two Antimonies touched yet? They might both disappear.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I feel like the story is sort of dragging a bit since Loup appeared. It's not bad for the most part but it's suddenly having to basically introduce tons of new concepts and ideas which is just slow going.

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
Oh jeez. I just realized this means both Annie's have that same fire elemental that made Annie and her mother who they were. Recall last time Anthony tried to bring his wife back it almost killed his daughter. Now he has two, perhaps he's thinking of a way to wrap up all his problems with a single act?

Re: Gunnerkrigg Court 7: Psychopomp and Circumstance
I wonder how the fire elementals see each other? They ought to know what's going on.
The end of what Son? The story? There is no end. There's just the point where the storytellers stop talking.

Maybe they could cut down on the Antimony & Antimony name confusion by adding Forest and Court to the front of the name, but shorten it to Fanny and Canny.
