    Default Stupid pet behavior.

Im just curious if anyone else has this problem with their dogs. Mine get hyper focused on a certain action and have to be jarred out of it. For example, something as simple as drinking water. They will drink, and drink, and drink, until they throw it back up, unless I go "Hey! Take a breath!" To distract them, at which point they leave the water alone. Or they see/hear/think they see/hear something and start barking, and barking, and barking, until you have to grab them and turn them away from the window where there is absolutely nothing to bark at just to get them to stop. Its like they turn into gifs and just go into an endless loop of whatever they are currently doing until something pokes the reset button and they move on.

I am by no means an expert on dogs, but could it be that they are bored or do not get enough 'exercise'?

I've not noticed anything like that with my dog. I would recommend asking a veterinarian.

He does decently well at jumping into blank walls face forward hunting ghosts, so I think I want him alive (or undead). He is also an endless source of entertainment.

    Barking - very normal.

Drinking until told to stop - likely a problems.

I'd take them to a vet for that. They might be doing it for attention. You could try setting up a video camera and seeing if they do it when you're not around.
