What happens if ruler doesn't sleep around? E.g. Slately doesn't seem to be sleeping around. Neither did Overlord Firebaugh. Did Wanda get her Signamancy from the Overlord? It didn't seem like it.

Wanda got her father's genes + her father's ideals and ambitions I'd guess. She was and is the last hope of the Croatian tribe crystallized.

This is a game universe. Sleeping around at all is probably entirely optional to pass on one's Signamancy, no adoption necessary. Sleeping around probably just gives "Fate" or whatever intelligence automates Erfworld more information to work with.

No, no, let's go back to Parson. I mean, you realize where he is right now, right? You realize what it means?

That's right! He's standing in front of a portal! See you six months from now, people, when we can discuss whether he's considering maybe stepping through or not.

When we get to the end of this thread, we should definitely name the next one "step through the portal already" or something.

We already had "Finally thinking with portals, over a year later", though. "Step through the portal already" would lose a lot of the effect.

    "Not the portals again?"

"A Song of Standing In Front of Portals?"

We should probably think up something, because at this rate he's still gonna be in front of that portal when we reach the end of this thread.

I don't believe he mentioned, however I'm just tracking the skips. If he skips the day after Christmas I'd still mark it, but if you want I can comment on Christmas with an *. Then again, he skipped around another holiday as well - American Thanksgiving.

It was a inconsequential detail, mainly part of the explanation for how being decrypted had changed Jack's memory.

There's a Greek philosopher Zeno of Elea once formulated a paradox about movement (dichotomy paradox):

Suppose Homer wishes to walk to the end of a path. Before he can get there, he must get halfway there. Before he can get halfway there, he must get a quarter of the way there. Before traveling a quarter, he must travel one-eighth; before an eighth, one-sixteenth; and so on.

So in the example Homer an never reach his destination since he has an infinity amount of tasks ahead.

This was a filler update, completely pointless. The entire text can be summed up to "Parson is ready to finish the spell. The golem moves." In the last text update we at least get filled in what Jack did in the meantime, and it's revealed to Maggie and Jack that Charley is manipulating events.

    Oh, sweet summer child.

Erfworld plot hasn't exploded in years. It usually just spreads around like tumorous plot growth, that somehow manages to get slower, the more there is.

Also Rob Balder is master of wheel spinning (imagine a rear tire stuck in the mud). What I mean by that is there is plot direction A, but then he makes it go into direction not-A, only to return to plot A, because not-A failed. So you are in same place you would be if you took route A, but it took longer to get there.

Yeah, I am really tired of the concept of decision trees and how many times it made for filler. Come on, someone die or explode already!

Wasnt it about how Achilles could never beat a turtle in a foot race if the turtle was allowed to start halfway there?

I have no complaint about the page. literally one thing happened in it but im sure it was better to explain everything that went through everyone's heads before it all explodes in brutal fashion.
    Despite everything, its still me.
