Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
Wow, the cast keeps growing and growing. Look at all the people in today's strip. Who's the guy sitting next to the red head?

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
... So does bubbles care about Faye's tits? Or does pintsize? Do robots have the same sexual interests as humans? This whole robo-relationship thing makes me think about stuff I never thought I'd wonder about...

Why Pintsize is walking on the ceiling, is what I want to know.

Well smaller girl robot whose name I temporarily forgot was attracted to guy making money with corny lyrics I think so I guess that human standards of good looking work. But well robots have sometimes very simple bodies so I assume that isn't the only thing that works for them.

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
Depending on how AI is developed/grown/evolved, maybe? We don't know that in QC any of the robots are that interested for reals - Pintsize tends to say things for the shock value, after all. But I can easily imagine scenarios in which ensuring that AI understands the human social signaling would facilitate its integration into human society.
Put another way: you don't want robots trying to convince women they shouldn't e.g. wear high heals because of their known deleterious effects to their backs and posture - they need to understand that human often choose style over health, and for them to understand that they need to know about sexual signaling.
To be clear: I am not suggesting the AI would be programmed with this knowledge, mind you, but that there must be some process that teaches them how society works before they are dumped into it, which will include such knowledge amongst all the other. AIs clearly having distinct emerging personalities, it would not be surprising if they too develop fetishes like humans do in the same contexts.

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
We know that ais that inhabit humanoid bodies tend to take on humanoid interests ins aid bodies. Even May is worried about her body and its ability to please a dude without tearing off or abraiding things. :p So chances are yes, bubbles is attracted to fays various body parts.

So much yes. I lived with two metalheads in college, our shower drain was clogged every other week.

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
I am surprised that Faye's shriek didn't bring Bubbles crashing into the shower stall. Her Faye Response Index must include a differentiation between shrieks caused by the sight of spiders and shrieks of genuine distress.
If Claire sheds that much during a shower she might want to see a dermatologist...

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
Speaking as somebody who has curly hair and who lives with others who have curly hair, it really doesn't take a lot of it to make an impressive hairball. Unless you keep your hair cut extremely short or wash it just about every day, its going to accumulate like that pretty quickly.

I feel like I've lived in this strip, from the complaints about shed hair to the "I'm sorry! Headphones!"
Claire is so cute in the first panel! Squee!

Oh, Claire - doing Jeph's dirty, dirty shipping work...I do love how she immediately processed Faye's vague answers into Bubbaye support .
Hang on a minute, are there any other characters that fit those criteria? Characters that Claire would know, that is.

Steve is quite muscular and retired from being a superspy. But he's not single.

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
Does anyone else hate it when people ship their friends? especially when their sexuality isn't known? or even worse, they know and just don't care?

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
Some times it's helpful, when there's an obvious mutual attraction and just pointing it out to either party gives them a spur in the right direction. Other times, it's just meddling for the sake of their own satisfaction, with or without the implication that "they know best".
I suppose it's the latter presumption that is irksome. As much as I adore my own friends, I wouldn't hesitate to tell them the difference between something that they can do and something they should do.~ CAUTION: May Contain Weasels ~

Yo Tilly you're adorable, but I think I'd have the same reaction too if I were in Hanners' place.

Re: Questionable Content 11: It's Like Seeing a Unicorn
This is unexpected. By Hanners, as well as us. Why does she need a personal assistant, anyway?
Her mother probably would have told her about Tilly. Should have, anyway. Her father might not have remembered to. Station probably would have preferred it to be a surprise. I think she should ask Tilly why she's there and who hired her, first. That might save time.
Are those books on the shelves in Hanner's bedroom? Videotapes out be out of date. Bottles of cleaning solution?
