Besides, makes for much better symbolism, too.

Hanging around with madmen does tend to have that effect, yes.
What the heck are you guys talking about? He ALREADY WAS resurrected. Gregory... Infernomancer... Ring any bells?

Well, not entirely, but it might as well have been.

I don't even get the orcs and their diet. Vegetarian orcs, sure. Vegetarian orcs that eat 'vegetables' that are as hard, if not harder, than wood... that's dumb. How do they even digest that junk?

They must import their food and water from wherever they lived before they went to move back to their homeland. After all, its only (plot) miles away.

You know what would be a cool plot twist that Mookie will never even think about doing?

Mosly, Huk Thak, Ethelia, and the latest heavymetal devil reincarnation of Klo Tark... turn out to be the same person! Hell, throw in the Infernomancer and Celesto and the rest of Mookie's pointless goes-nowhere twists. Then this guy, using his incredible powers of disguise (I mean, it's not that hard, considering how everybody in Mookieverse has the same face) constructs a fiendish ploy to take apart Dominic's seer powers bit by bit by drawing him into a whirlpool of imaginary drama, culminating in the destruction of Dominic's psyche, leaving him a screaming, pathetic vegetable for all eternity.

But of course, if that was the case, there'd be an actual point to all these ridiculous teasers. As if.

Oh, jeezus. I am sick of two things in Dominic Deegan, beyond all else: metal and Klo Tark. And, at some point in time, it seems we'll have to suffer through both of them. At once. Just ... seriously, why? Mookie honestly thinks it's a good idea to bring him back?

No, no, no, no, no. Death metal is the music of the Fourth Caste. I'm pretty sure most of the Forsaken Trailer characters are Third Caste actually.

In other words, they wouldn't play metal, they'd play emo.

Behold the formation of Scryin Park.

Great. So now Klo Tark returns as demonic metal guitarist. And here I thought DD reached the bottom.
That, and I think seeing any more of Mookies attempts to write song lyrics will be lethal.

Speaking of metal, one thing occured to me...

Look at these lyrics (by Metallica, with only one word changed by me and the less fitting passages eliminated), and imagine they are directed at Gregory and speaking about Dominic...

    Pride you took
    Pride you feel
Pride that you felt when you'd kneel

    Not the word
    Not the love
Not what you thought from above

    It feeds
    It grows
It clouds all that you will know
    Deceit
    Deceive
    Decide just what you believe

I see faith in your eyes
Never you hear the discouraging lies
I hear faith in your cries

    [...]

    Follow the God that sees

    Find your peace
    Find your say
Find the smooth road in your way

    [...]

    It feeds
    It grows
It clouds all that you will know
    Deceit
    Deceive
    Decide just what you believe

    [...]

Preety accurate, I'd say. But of course, Metallica is good for everything. Though if we want to apply Metallica to DD, "Master of Puppets" immediately springs to mind as well.

End of passion play, crumbling away
    I'm your source of self-destruction
Veins that pump with fear, sucking darkest clear
    Leading on your death's construction

    [Chorus:]
    Taste me you will see
    more is all you need
    you're dedicated to
    how I'm killing you

    Come crawling faster
    obey your Master
    your life burns faster
    obey your Master
    Master

Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings
twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, `cause I'll hear you scream
    Master
    Master
Just call my name, `cause I'll hear you scream
    Master
    Master
    [End Chorus]

Needlework the way, never you betray
    life of death becoming clearer
    Pain monopoly, ritual misery
chop your breakfast on a mirror

    [Chorus]

Master, Master, Where's the dreams that I've been after?
Master, Master, You promised only lies
Laughter, Laughter, All I hear and see is laughter
Laughter, Laughter, laughing at my cries

Hell is worth all that, natural habitat
just a rhyme without a reason
Neverending maze, drift on numbered days
now your life is out of season

Whoa. That doesn't ever require anything changing whatsoever.

    You didn't know that? It's Lord Dominic's in-official hymn, isn't it?

Is that from their new album?
Yes. One of the better songs. All in all I'm not all too happy, though it is better in average than NNO was (I really didn't like NNO). There are some really good songs (Puppenspieler; Voodoo, which starts just like die Schlacht and then gets different; die Trommel, awesome song; and auf Kiel, which is a quite good balad), some mediocre IMHO (Umbra, Fatum, In der Stille, unentdecktes Land, Meine Seele brennt, Tanz auf dem Vulkan) some bad (Hohelied, Canticum Satanae) and one absolutely awful kitsch song "Wehe Stunde". Ugh. It's like Dominic Deegan in musical form. When it had started after the Storm of Souls. Really, it's like "the band was awesome early on" and now you get that song, a musical version of the Snowsong Arc.

Hmmm... I haven't had a chance to hear Bastard yet (but I plan to change that soon ), so I'll just take your word for that - although our musical taste seems to be quite different, since I consider Nord Nord Ost to be far, far better than any of Subway to Sally's previous work (now Engelskrieger, that was a disturbing album. Not bad. But disturbing. ).

In DD related news: That sketch either looks like KISS (Klo Tark In Satan's Service ) or KIKS (Klo Tark in Karnak's Service).

If it's the former, then it's probably just filler. If it's the later... WTF is going on with Mookie's cosmology? First the guy can't die, then he is slaved by the King of Hell - despite being the most saintly character in DD?
