Thoughts? Do you think Rich put that much thought into it? It's certainly an appropriate name.

Elan was easier to put into a comic bubble than panache. And easier to reverse.

I'm sure the Giant put a lot of thought into his characters' names!
Elan's name suits him very well - style and flair! He's much more concerned with looking cool than being effective.

No one wants to mention the immortal psionic master race who look just like humans but actually aren't.
Not a great race choice for a bard (Charisma should really be an Elan's dump stat).
That's the twist I am hoping for. Xykon is all like "HOLD PERSON" and Elan is all like "NOPE" before revealing that he has secretly been taking levels in Psion this whole time and wrecks the mic right.Dovie'andi se tovya sagain.

I played a game where it was just assumed that I was regular human murder hobo, and it was totally super fun when the DM raised opportunities for the rest of the party to figure out that I was actually an immortal aberration murder hobo, with me always having the option of telepathically erasing my "friends" memories of giveaway moments.
