Clang! Atas' attacks sounds against the rusty robes this figure is wearing, but other than bloody knuckles, it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Meanwhile, Issy recovers from the attacks on her and connects with a full roundhouse swing of her flail. The eldritch life of the construct in front of her seems to sever from its metal body, and it drops into the dust with a dull thud.

He was mid reload as the thing approached - thankfully Atas and Shaena where there as well, but a glance to his left showed Kyra may be in trouble one on one. Going into a primal rage, Kyra swipes one-handed at the statue in front of her, connecting with a hard chunk! It, in turn slams into her with one of its arms, cracking a rib and knocking the breath out of her.

Atas finds this whole combat frustrating. It was entirely too risky and badly thought out. Whoever these iron men are, they are strong, and now the party is on their bad side.

Distracted by his own brooding mood, Atas stabs and jabs with his staff, using it in a spearlike fashion to hit the creatures weak points.

Atas manages to get his staff lodged into the fold of an iron robe. Throwing his weight behind it, he hears the squeal of metal, and the robe bends and splits. It would have been a useless move on a flesh and blood opponent, but it appears to cause this construct some kind of pain. He spins and jabs his heel at the same section, but fails to impact squarely.

Kyra bulls into her target with her shield, knocking it to its knees, and follows up with a strong overhead swing directly into its torso. She leaves a long, deep groove in the contruct's body.

It grips the axe as she attempts to pull it back, and pulls itself up, swinging wildly again at the barbarian, but Kyra twists and keeps any blows from connecting squarely enough to cause harm.

Meanwhile Mohander finds himself beset, dodging directly into the line of one blow and getting caught again on the back swing.

Atas shrugs and stabs his staff at the thin metal of the bottom hem of the creature's robe, but gets the angle just a smidgen off, and the staff clatters harmlessly to the side. Shaena's bolt goes astray, blasting grit and dust into the air a few feet behind her target. Kyra's target once again climbs to its feet and swings at the barbarian, but she again dodges easily out of the way. However, it has another trick up its sleeve, as a noxious gas emanates from its form. The corrosive orange cloud burns her eyes and lungs, but doesn't seem to harm her in anyway. When she glances at her battleaxe, however, she sees with dismay that it is now covered in a pocked layer of rust.

Atas is not so lucky, taking a hit square in the jaw, his head spins. The ringing in his ears is not enough to mask another sound, though, and shortly you all hear it. The heavy tread of metal on metal; footsteps are echoing up the spiral stair from below!
