“Yes, we have a room,” Anaki answers, “It is crowded, but we have managed so far.” She shifts uncomfortably. “If we are being watched...Wire knows much already.”

"Well, Wire hides his spying devices well, so they're hard to notice if you don't know to look for them. We've removed Wire's spy devices from our room, so you're safe here from prying eyes and ears. When my friends return, we can clear your room too. In fact, let me text them now."

Rose fiddles with her comm to let Love and Sniper know that the zebras have a room in need of bug removal.

"Alright, until they return, we got some time to kill. In your own room, did you talk about the game board at all? What it might do? If Wire knows too much, we probably need to leave this place soon before he sends security after us."

It's a different model than everything Wire has used thus far... Wire has been rather 'wired', nothing wireless.

Love will ignore the changeling's shifting behavior for now and try to hack into the device's data storage. She'll start looking around to see what she can find.

Longshot checked his comm.

He didn't have all the information about the zebras, because they hadn't had time to debrief each other yet. It was an unknown variable and he had a severe dislike of unknown variables. He decided to risk another transmission.

Affirmative. Need story on Zebras ASAP. He replied via comm.

To the Changelings: "Stay quiet."

“It would seem expensive to bug every room,” Timiti grumbles.

Anaki smirks “What is the saying? Paranoia is a heck of a drug?” She nods to Rose. “Then let us speak freely. We have wronged you, assumptions or no. And though it turned out happily, what would you have us do?”

Love hacks that camera so hard she doesn’t even need to touch it. She traces the signal to a workstation set up in the other changeling’s room and, at her leisure, can cut off her live feed. Furthermore, the camera is running an old version of Picture Perfect Camera Company’s software. It’s at least a decade old, but quite serviceable for the Wasteland. It’s something Wire would want, but not something he seems to have access to.
Needles clears his throat. “There is a perfectly good explanation for this.”

“And remember,” Pins says, “You chose to come here. We didn’t even suggest this place.”

Sniper looked at the twin insects. His eyes were flat and uncaring.

"Then give it to us." He said. "Now."

The atmosphere must be getting to him. He had an idea of how to insure the Changeling's cooperation and it was nasty enough he didn't like it in his head. A quick heft of his rifle reminded everypony who possessed it.

If the camera does have any listening capabilities, Love will cover the camera's visuals and loop/freeze the thing's audio on a moment when no one is talking. "Relax, Pins and Needles. Your place isn't that offensive. We're almost done checking for any unpleasantness. Can you give me a moment longer Longshot?" Shock turns to Scope as if to say she is working.

The thing is a 'drone'? Love will see if she can follow the thread and break into this thing's workstation.

Rose quickly responds via comm text, "Sully burned their home. They are only survivors; kids. Had evil artifact with them, but I broke it. They are in my debt and can help us."

Rose nods in agreement with Anaki. "Wire seems to have the money to be that eccentric. As for what you can do, well... the sky soarer that burned your home has allies. They will kill again to find more artifacts. Will you be willing to help my friends and I slay this creature and stop the others he works with? It will be dangerous, but I believe that you all are capable of great things and can help us in your own way; whether it is fighting with us, gathering supplies, or finding more allies for our cause. I would be honored to have you along side me in this quest to save other families from the same fate you suffered."

When the changelings initially came to the door Ironsides would have racked his shotgun but otherwise stayed out of sight of the front door. And doesn't relax till they're taken away. "Just when you start gettin used to changelings things get up ended." He mutters before joining the others in the bedroom to listen.

"Well dependin on how respected ya'lls temple was by the other Wastelanders yer story could be more ammo against CPI. Maybe we could run it by Night Sky? Though ain't sure we want to say much about the more powerful stuff ya'll were guarding."

"Hey! No way, man," Pins says, "That's good tech. I'm not giving it to you. Here." He'll step over to it and begin fiddling with it. "I'll just turn it off. No harm, no foul."

Love has not hacked the source yet. Does she want to stop him?

Rose has to wiggle her nose thinking about that answer. In hindsight, 'mistress' sounded kinda silly. "Well, everyone in my group here has the same military rank, so that wouldn't work. Um... okay, until we leave this casino, let's continue to pretend appearances and call me mistress. Or Roxy. Once we're outta this place, you can call me Rose. Or doctor, if you'd like to use a respectful title. That work for everyone?"

She looks over at Brazen to see if he's okay with that too. Need to keep the story consistent, even if wire already has them figured out.

Pins tries to step in front of Love. "Oh no, I can handle it, really. I--" He stands there, stepping from hoof to hoof, and glances at Needles. The second changeling shrugs helplessly.

Love establishes the connection for all of one second. She gets a nice view of the mare from before glaring into the webcam before the connection physically turns off.

"If you'll excuse me for a moment, I need to check on a patient of mine." Rose excuses herself to check up on the patient/prisoner Emerald. She'll keep the bedroom door closed so Brazen can still converse in peace.

Shock scowls as he refuses to turn over the device. "Show me that you turned it off, then I'll leave you alone. After that carefully put it down, and don't touch it anymore." She might as well play to the tune that her abilities are more limited than she displays.

Shock will be on her way to finish the search she started.

"Well yeah," Pins says, "So the others know to send help if you, I don't know, shoot us or something."

"Again, it's our room," Needles says, "We could have met in your room, but you chose to come here." He throws his hooves up. "All we wanted was a game of cards with a pony we thought was a friend! But this is...ridiculous. Just...just go. We're done here."

Emerald is...well, she's waking up. Not really awake yet, but the drugs are wearing off. Other than that, she is doing as well as can be expected, given the events of earlier.

While waiting for reality to snap into a new thread, Rose attempted to make emerald a little comfortable. Fluff a pillow or adjust her position. Yeah she is their prisoner, but a little comfort should be fine. We're not monsters here, right?

Well, she will have to be carted in a stretcher if possible. Or in a pinch Brazen could lug her firefighter style, but her broken bones shouldn't get moved a lot. Rose needs access to her base tent supplies to really get her stable. Maybe if the team manages to calm Wire's wild hair the team can stay the night and Rose can use further magical healing to speed up the process. Emerald will probably need food soon too.

Sigh, so much to do. Lots of work and this cover of the team is probably starting to attract real scrutiny. Except for wire. Damn paranoid donkey probably already suspects.
