    Azkin frowns confusedly at Vershab's murmurs, but comprehension dawns in his eyes at almost the precise instant the arcanist's invisible form audibly contacts the ground. Just as his mistress's feet begin to leave the floor, he grips his holy symbol and cries out, "Healing flame, burn bright within us!!"

    As a wave of warmth washes over his nearest companions, the young cleric turns toward Natala's outstretched hand...

    Turi grins foolishly, as only adolescent boys neck-deep in a questionable decision can as Lehasti rises through the opening in the floor. He glances back and forth between the coiled-up snake person spitting threats at Vershab and the snoring Vlarga apparently unawares just a few feet away. His grin fades into annoyance as he begins to dance towards his slumbering ally.

    "Please wake up!" He urges, with both his voice and his feet, pushing roughly (but not quite kicking) the bloodrager. "I figure this will work out better with your help!"

    Vlarga grunts when Turi kicks her. She is so tired. Why would the boy be rousing her? Her eyes shoot open when her mind snaps back to the present. Though only out for a few seconds, the raw exhaustion brought on by her waning girth had her in a deep slumber. Falchion in hard, she quickly gauges her wounds - not bad, but better would be nice. She stands, pulling a chakram from her belt and hurls the bladed ring at the snake woman.

    The companions react to their wily foe with speed and determined tactics. Vershab takes a deliberate fall and ends flat on this back, but is repaid by the sight of Lehasti taking flight, powered by his spell, while Natala begins her own ascent, Azkin hanging from the Desert Walker's shoulders. The celestial tiger runs in and begins climbing the stone column.

    Meanwhile, on the upper floor, things get heated. Turi's tumble fails to dodge the wicked longspear, but he manages to wake the sleeping gnoll. Still drowsy, Vlagra stands up, and throws a chakram at the lamia matriach, only to see it bounce harmlessly on her enemy's shiny cuirass.

    Then a furious, giant paladin flies through the open floor and rushes at the enemy! Once again, the longspear strikes...

    Behind her mask, it's impossible to see the serpentine woman's smile, but her cruel, mocking voice makes her mindset rather clear. "Your accomplices are a little braver, I see. All the better for the glory of the Sky Pharaoh, let them offer themselves to be SKEWERED in front of your eyes!" ... And a dazzling storm of attacks rains on the servant of the Dawnflower.

    Celestial tiger: With DC 20 for climbing plus the high jump, that's 23 ft of progress. Next round: finish the climb, then same options as Vlarga (see round 8 post).

    Air elemental: No one sees what happens outside anymore. The elemental continues its attack until vanquished or the enemy dies or flees.

    Turi and Lehasti take an AoO each. The first attack each round also carries a 1 Wisdom drain effect.

    Natala could hear the battle raging on upstairs as she desperately strained to rise faster. Concentrating, both Natala and Azkin appeared above the lip of the hole. She murmured to the priest, "Tend to Lehasiti!" Once the young man had stepped off to join his knight, Natala stepped to the ledge as well, calling forth another spectral blade to appear near the naga, striking out rapidly.

    Round 12 - Note, Natala should have been at AS14 per my post here. This rounds, she'll rise up to be even with the next level (move); 5' step to AR15 (free); cast summon spiritual weapon (standard) to have it appear near the snake lady and attack.

    Vlarga huffs in frustration. First, this snake person makes her fall asleep, then she camps up too high for her to reach. Vlarga is tall, but not THAT tall. She traces a claw over the blade’s edge of the chakram, hesitates, and instead taps into her inner strength. “Daraka Mei,” the gnoll commands and her blood responds. A sickly pale violet ray shoots from her palm to the snake person.

    As they alight on the second floor, Azkin's gaze shifts from Natala to Turi as the latter calls out while desperately scrambling around the snake woman. The young cleric hesitates for a heartbeat before reaching out to his mentor to breathing out a prayer to their shared deity.

    Turning with a grim resolution on his face, he drops his scimitar and shield to the floor, reaching up and back for the familiar longspear, fingers finding their familiar grips upon its shaft with practiced ease. "I'm coming, Turi..." he murmurs below his breath, before charging in front of Lehasti toward the snake-woman with a sudden, wordless cry!

    Help from the lower level comes to the beleaguered heroes in the form of a massive tiger, its fur shining with the energy of the Outer Planes, followed by the Desert Walker, the young cleric clinging to her for dear life. Azkin lets go and immediately comes to the help of his stunned, bleeding mentor. His other weapons clatter to the floor as he pulls his longspear to challenge the lamia matriarch! Turi somesaults in mid-air to get behind her, but that's not enough to dodge the strike of the wicked weapon that Jamirah wields with terrifying speed and accuracy. However, the former street urchin is rewarded for his heroics, as he gets to draw the reptilian woman's yellowish blood for the first time since the beginning of the fight!

    Jamirah easily dodges Vlarga's ray and Natala's spiritual scimitar, but Turi's hit is severe. She takes it without making a sound, and the mask hides any facial expression of pain, but her defensive movements are momentarily a tad slower. She hesitates for a second, before she chooses a target among the many adversaries around her.

    "You send a child against me, even. Is that a teaching from your measly goddess? Or did you hope I would SPARE a so-called INNOCENT?" With that, a flurry of strikes rains on the unfortunate Azkin...

    Reminder of the ruling relative to Jamirah's reach, for my own benefit as much as the players': She's Large, but can only use weapons sized for a Medium creature. In her case, it's a longspear giving her 10ft reach. She positioned herself just high enough that she can strike Medium-sized characters on the ground, either below her or in squares immediately adjacent. In order to hit her, a Medium creature needs reach as well.

    I didn't find a clear ruling about this, but Lehasti can't move, so she can only hover, which isn't an action. That's a DC15 Fly check, and presumably, she falls in the case of failure: (1d20-3)[2]. As she's not higher than 5', I'll rule she doesn't take damage.

    Outside Vershab's summoned elemental continues its attack against the cultists. Inside the celestial tiger and archon move forward, intent on bringing the fight to the Relic Knights' enemy! "I'm down here, you cowardly, mutated abomination against nature! Surely you're not too frightened to come hunting for me - after all, I'm such a lesser being, right? Come prove it!" shouts Vershab as he tries to motivate the lamia to descend past his allies...

    The celestial tiger (-9 HPs) moves to AT17-AU18, uses Smite Evil (+6 damage to attacks), and slashes with a claw (no charge-pounce due to the PCs in the way): Claw + Grab - (1d20+11)[13] to hit, (1d20+11)[23] (20/x2), (1d20+14)[30] grapple check to initiate, (1d8+12)[14] damage, (1d8+12)[13] critical strike damage.     The Hound Archon appears adjacent (AY17) to our enemy and immediately uses Power Attack and full attacks.     Natala knew the next few moments might decide their survival ... and the very survival of the world. Stepping to the side to gain a clear shot, Natala whispered to the old gods, seeking their help in defeating this challenging adversary. "Old ones, I beseech you - embue your servant with the power to strike down this infidel - the eye of the hawk to see my target, the ears of the rabbit to strike between heart beats, the strength of the water horse to power my bow, and the luck of the cat to strike true ..."

    Even as she ended her quick prayer, the bow felt lighter as she raised it up, the world crystalizing as she let three shafts fly in rapid succession. To the side, the floating falchion continued to attack, lashing out twice.

    Ganging up on the monstrous snake-woman finally earns the companions a good number of successful attacks, but their foe is undaunted.

    "You think you can vanquish me, but you don't know me. I, on the other hand, have watched you, through the visions granted to me by the Forgotten Pharaoh! He shall not let me down, and I will have your blood on this floor to honor Him!"" In a dizzying display of dexterity, she launches a flurry of alternating strikes on her attackers!

    Vershab has line of sight to some, but not all of the party. The Haste spell affects the tiger, Natala, Vlarga, and Lehasti, but not Azkin or Turi (out of sight) nor does it affect Vershab himself as he's more than 30ft away from the others.

    Being Large, the celestial tiger can hit Jamilah, but misses.

    The hound archon appears within LoS of Vershab, we'll say AU13. He can't attack, as he lacks a reach weapon. He'll instead cast Aid on Lehasti, giving her (1d8+6)[14] temporary hit points and a +1 morale bonus to attacks and saves vs fear. Then he'll move to AV14, so that Lehasti, Azkin, Vlarga and Turi can benefit from his constant Magic Circle against evil (+2 deflection bonus to AC and resistance bonus to saves vs the very evil llamia matriarch).

    The Medium Air Elemental is out of sight but we can safely assume he dispatches the cultists, unless they flee. They won't be a factor in this fight.

    Jamirah's AC is lowered by 2 this round because of Turi's debilitating attack. She's also flanked by Lehasti and Turi. As a result:
    - Lehasti hits once (a second hit was close, but unfortunately, the bonus from Aid doesn't stack with Bless)
    - Vlarga hits
    - Natala misses, but her spiritual weapon hits once
    - Turi still misses 3 times.

    Turi needs to make a DC15 Fly check to hover: (1d20+3)[20] or he falls (no damage, but he'll need a move action next round to resume attacking).

    Jamilah makes a full attack with her Stunning Assault feat (DC28). Turi benefits from the +2 protection from evil overlapping his cloak of resistance and ring of protection for a net +1. Lehasti doesn't get any extra bonus as she already has an active Protection from Evil.

He tries to take aim at the lamia matriarch, but cannot get a clear shot. Hoping to pierce her arcane resistance and weaken her in a moment he instead uses his wand to begin flying and moves to a better spot as he winks back into view...

    Outside Vershab's summoned elemental continues its attack against the cultists (for two more rounds - I will stop noting this at this point). Inside the temple the celestial tiger makes it's last efforts on this plane and attacks the lamia matriarch before preparing to return to its home (at the beginning of Vershab's next round). The Hound Archon watches closely, intent on disarming the reptilian cultist or breaking her weapon, if it can...

    All allies within 10-ft of the archon gain the benefits of Protection from Evil (+2 Resistance bonus on Saves, +2 Deflection bonus on AC).

    All party members in reach/LOS are Hasted for eight rounds, providing them +30 ft to (all) movement speeds, +1 on to hit rolls, +1 dodge bonus to AC, +1 to Reflex Saves, and when making a full attack action they can make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon.

    Lehasti is enlarged (doubling in space on the map, providing reach, increasing her weapon's baseline damage, imbuing her with +2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, and -1 on attack rolls and AC) for about eight minutes. and now capable of flying.

    As Lehasti reels from the snake-woman's assault, Azkin blinks away the last of the stars in his own eyes, casting a frenetic gaze about to recover his bearings. He looks from his enlarged mistress to the hated foe, behind which his brother lashes out with his own frenzied strikes. A heartbeat passes as his gaze drops to his own, empty hands, and beneath them his fallen spear.

    Gripping with one hand the ankh that represents the goddess whose divine power he has been gifted to channel, he lifts his eyes and voice to the unseen heavens above, calling out to his patroness, "Sarenrae! Bolster your chosen in this, our time of need!!"

    A wave of soothing warm erupts from the young cleric's grip upon the holy symbol, and for a moment the expression of determination on his face softens. Then, looking up toward the snake-woman, the serious-faced young cleric reaches down for his longspear...

    Natala frowned, knowing her first shot should have at least struck the creature. It left her uncertain if continuing to fire at this challenging enemy was worth the effort ... but she had few other tricks in her bag to help, so for now it would have to do.

    Raising it to her eyes, she focused and fired three more times, praying silently for assistance.

    So to be clear ... a 25 missed a target with lowered AC? Yeow ... not sure if attacking is anything but a colossal waste of time. But I don't have a lot of options, so ...

Jamirah's rage is replaced by a deep howl of pain when Turi, taking advantage of the distraction from his brother's threatening spear, lands two deep blows of his kukri in quick succession. She turns towards the boy, ignoring everything else, only to receive a cluster of perfectly aimed arrows from Natala in her back!

    "I will... FINISH YOU... Even if it's the last thing the Pharaoh lets me do!""

    The spear in her hands becomes a blur in Turi's eyes, the only clear part is the tip thrusting towards his chest...

    Vershab lacks line of sight, so he can't cast Enervation this round. I'll allow him to spend the round to fly up, instead, so he's in position next round. The tiger misses, so does Vlarga. Natala hits 3 times. Thanks to flanking, Turi hits with his first attack, and thanks to Debilitating Strike, with the second one too. I rerolled the sneak attack damage in OOC.

    Jamirah makes a full attack with her Stunning Assault feat (DC28). Turi benefits from the +2 protection from evil overlapping his cloak of resistance and ring of protection for a net +1. Lehasti doesn't get any extra bonus as she already has an active Protection from Evil.

    Natala gritted her teeth, knowing there was little she could do for her friends. The beast needed to die, but was her last effort nothing but luck, or was it fate? Did she trust that the gods would continue to guide her shafts, or was this a test to force a choice upon her - vengeance or ministration?

    Shaking her head, Natala moved to help whoever she could reach in time, knowing full well Turi was the priority. Surging forward, she reached out with her hand to send a wave of healing energy into her companion.

    Natala would like to help Turi, but I don't know if he's within reach of someone on the ground (is he hovering mid-air, or did he drop to the floor?). If he's available, I think she can make it to him w/o invoking an AOO (while the snake-lady is Large and has a spear, I think she has normal reach and is 15' up). Natala will either run through her companions, or hug the right wall to get to Turi and heal him.

    If this doesn't work, she can 5' step and heal Lehasti instead.

    Round 15 - If Turi is within reach, move to AZ14 or AZ16 (whichever avoids getting hit). If Turi is not reachable, 5' step to AS15 next to Lehasti.

She was never a stellar shot. Fighting at range always felt so... inept. Compared to the fray, it is so... cold. She aims and fires again.     While Lehasti's brain spins madly, it is up to her comrades in arms to rush to Turi's aid with healing magic, some of it unfortunately washing over the masked serpentwoman and closing some of her numerous wounds. Natala's conjured blade and Vlarga's arrows are both ineffectual... But Vershab's sudden reappearance, at the starting point of a tenebrous ray of energy, has the intended effect. "YOU!" Jamirah spits, her voice full of raw hatred, but weakened already by the powerful debilitating magic. She suddenly slithers forward along the columns with phenomeal agility for a creature of this size, and lunges for the young arcanist! Her long tail wraps itself around him and he finds himself unable to move.

    The hissy voice is suddenly calm, cold, calculating.

    "So. Maybe this is a time for negotiation. Do you want your leader to live?"

    As discussed in Discord, I think I'm going to have Vershab cast Blindness/Deafness Stilled, DC 18 Fortitude or she becomes permanently Blind. I think the rolls, as modified by the proper values, land high enough to force her to roll a saving throw...

    The Hound Archon uses Greater Teleport to AQ14 AO16 before attacking the enemy: MW Greatsword - (1d20+9)[25] to hit, (1d20+9)[26] (19-20/x2), (2d6+3)[8] slashing damage, (2d6+3)[10] critical strike damage.

    All allies within 10-ft of the archon gain the benefits of Protection from Evil (+2 Resistance bonus on Saves, +2 Deflection bonus on AC).

    All party members in reach/LOS are Hasted for five more rounds, providing them +30 ft to (all) movement speeds, +1 on to hit rolls, +1 dodge bonus to AC, +1 to Reflex Saves, and when making a full attack action they can make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon.
