Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
OOC
Spoiler
To be honest, I had to sit and think for a minute before I realized what was being referred to.
Can Sam take another action this turn, or are we moving on to someone else now? If so, I'll edit things into this post.
Editing accordingly.
"The gems!" Sam cries, looking up and hoping that the others can hear him over the noise. He digs in his pocket and grabs his gem, looking for somewhere to slot it into the machine.

The red gem in Sam's hand heats up and shoots three beams at the machine, ruining it's internal memory, sticking it on one last function.

Wendy sees what Sam is doing and remembers the Doctor's mention of "heat, cold, and electricity," and tries to determine if she can figure out where to shoot the device.

If she's confident about her knowledge she'll shoot; if she's not she'll toss the gem to Sam.

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
The function is stuck on "Capture Humans". It emits in morse code, so the TIn Friends will glitch a little bit.
The cold from the gem could shut off the machine, just leaving it's transmitter and the magnetic casing...
Or at least cut off it's power for a while, long enough so Sam's hands don't get hurt while he dismantles it.Alchemyprime's Omniblog

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
The gem grows incredibly cold but the ray seems to stop inside of the gem. It's almost like a misfire.
Moe tries to get out of the ZOdar's grasp, but to no avail. Sydney looks around and grabs Q. Q whirls in her arms and fires at Moe, making a part of his armor retract into his body.
Jim seems to notice and gets him with the taser, eliminatin both of Moe's arms from the equation (well, the armor, anyway).
The Doctor tries to keep the signal on one letter, causing it to slow down considerably. He does so, but burns his hand a bit.

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
Sam burns his hand while trting to disarm the thing. He gets the machine's power source turned off, but his hand and arm are badly burnt. (8 points of fire damage and 2 points of electricity damage.)
The Doctor poitns to Moe. "His armor retracts with electricity! Wendy! There is a wire behind the Zodar's holding pin! Yank it out!"
Wendy can move to the wire, yank it out, and move next to Moe and the Zodar, but can't attack until next turn.

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
Spoiler
Just want to be clear - was the machine Sam disabled the one Wendy was trying to shoot with her cold ray earlier?
Also, don't have Spring Attack, so can't move-act-move.
Let me know if I should make a Knowledge: Tech or Untrained Repair check to make sure I pull out the wire right.
Wendy nods to the Doctor. She is still Dodging Moe and if she has to pass an area he is threatening, she will use her Mobility to try to keep out of harm's way.
She does her best to keep grounded and snatches the wire.Last edited by DeathQuaker; 2008-01-24 at 08:05 AM.

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
She grabs the wire, with no odd results. However, she needs to make a Strength check to yank the wire from the wall.
I will allow you to add half of your Know(Tech) or Disable Device mods to the Strength check, whichever is higher.Alchemyprime's Omniblog

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
The cable is out, and Wendy din't get electrocuted. Next one of Wendy's turns she'll be able to make her attack roll.
The Doctor fiddles with the machine. "I'm going to try to put in a code to bring the Tin Friends back here then disable, so they can all be gone. Except Q, of course. Sam, either help me or help Jim."
Q whirls, but doesn't seem to have enough of a charge to fire his beam again.
Jim tases Moe once more, getting rid of a stomach plate.
Moe breaks free of the ZOdar's grasp, and then kicks the ceramic man. The ZOdar moans in pain.
Sam's turn.Last edited by alchemyprime; 2008-01-31 at 02:50 PM.

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
Sam’s bullet soars through the air and hits Moe in the arm. A chunk of Moe’s leg armor retracts into his skin, and his arm is bleeding quite a bit. Moe may have a crunchy exterior, but he sure has a liquid filled center.

Remember, the cable is an improvised weapon.

Re: The Doctor? Doctor Who?
Moe gets hit, and in a giant flash of energy, all of his plating is retracted into his body. He sighs and collapses onto the ground. Q plays a happy tune reminiscent of "Buffalo Girl", and Jim sighs and slumps down. The Doctor fiddles with the machine and claps.
"Brilliant! I managed to fry all of the future tech in the Tin Friends. They are no more than wind up walking toys now."
The Doctor goes to Moe and lies him down.
"Zodar, are you alright?" he asks.
The Zodar nods. "No more talking, Doctor. Zodars no like speech. Voice gone."
The Doctor frowns. "Oh... I guess Zodar lost his voice. Well, I guess we were able to do everything but get that Cog for Jonathan... maybe we can find it while Moe's out cold." The Doctor begins to rummage through boxes, and shelves.
I'm certain he would appreciate some help.Alchemyprime's Omniblog

"Wouldn't he be using the cog? He was mentioning how it would help him. So, shouldn't we check the machinery?
She thinks, hard, that Jim should keep an eye on Moe, but does not say it aloud.
While the group forms a broader Search, Wendy keeps an eye out for unusual items, marks, or other clues--even blueprints or what have you--that might either lead to the cog or give other insights about Moe's activities here.
