Huh, odd placement for a gag comic.

I say, Rakethorn, unprepared despite "They get them down here"? I 'd wager Wooster would have had a Pearl of Shibazz.

I love how this is all old news for the Jaegers, as is having only six minutes to escape certain doom. Been there, done that, knocked out the mind-controlled minion and still have plenty of time (by their standards) to save the kitchen staff.

Assuming the kitchen staff didn't already decide to hop in their escape vehicle and escape.

Well, since we now know he's been mind controlled, are there actually any kitchen staff in the first place? He might have been commanded to leave the submarine for some other nefarious reason.

There should be kitchen staff as Dimo was the one who told them to stay put.

I'm positive that the implication of this strip is that he was mind-controlled for a couple of minutes as part of the wacky adventures Getting To The Kitchens.

    I don't think it's as clear-cut as that, although I'll grant that's definitely a possibility.

I agree with Stabbey. There's absolutely no indication he was being controlled before this.

I'm absolutely on board with this assumption. The Rakethorn we saw going chin out to save the Queen's citizens was the proper one. The one freaking out over a few ghost pirates and doppelgangers wasn't. Spidey took over the wrong body at the wrong time because it was a target of opportunity. Not sure if the spider was before or after the pirates, though: Jaeger's are a heck of a lot more competent than you'd guess based on their off-hours antics.

If you managed to live centuries (even being a super soldier) you need to have a lot more going on than being strong. And these Jaegers are sharper than most are.

And I know it's an off handed comment, but the mention of alternate realities was a surprise and they managed to get a Star Trek (TOS) reference in there.

While it seems a bit too obvious, but we have for example Martellus, who takes the role previously envisioned for Tarvek, who (as Gilgamesh earlier) evloved into a more benevolant character.

At any rate, we will have to wait and see hoe thing develop.

It feels like the Fogolios are stalling for whatever reason...I mean, it's probably the end of Britain, so they might be putting off the end of it for a little while they double check their next step.

I don't think it's the end for Britain or Albia at least by Lu's hands. Albia is a Power, she knows who the Other is, how she works and is royally ticked off (pun intended). The only Lu (ClankLu) we know of no longer has control of her body and has limited resources. Worse Albia can take away those mny of those resources (anyone who is wasped). Lu should be on the run for the moment as she does not want Albia to get her. The only threat would be the Conspiracy and I don't think they are ready to move, even if they really could due to Albia's mind control. Looking back even Snackleford didn't want to take out Albia. He wanted to demonstrate his new power, but also didn't want to make a bad impression on her by killing Agatha.

I immediately thought something similar, even before he died, because they look exactly the same.

I am greatly enjoying these autonomous Jaegers. They were detached, after all. They don't need to just be Agatha's servants.

I may have found out why the Foglios call themselves professors: the people who make Punch and Judy puppet shows also are called "professor".
If you remember the part where in a puppet show Voltaire starts hitting Klaus, that would be an important part of a Punch and Judy show

If by "end of Britain" you mean Agatha leaving the place, no way. She still has to meet with the Circus, Zeetha has to have her Bang showdown, Steelgarter's gonna pop back up, along with the Eyeball guy she talked to (no way he was one of the cultists who got killed), the Lantern's still out there somewhere, and then there's Albia's garden/shameful power source.

Or if you meant in-universe.. yeah, I'm assuming Albia's going to die before this is all over.

Well, we did just resolve one of the biggest and longest running plot points we had - Lu in Agatha. Wanting to slow down a bit before moving on to the next one isn't that unexpected.

They are probably stalling just long enough for the cooks to don red suits and cook some figgy Christmas pudding, and resolve the arc with a lighthearted happy new year's montage before delving back into the heavy duty drama of Agatha's srs bzns.

The Folgio do have an habit of stalling periods since .. pretty much the Mechaisburg arc (exihibit A: How long sis we pend in der der kestlle ? Exhihbit 2: .. Everything about the beast train)
I suspect it has part of the overall plot having ballooned way beyong it's original intention so they have to introducead rethink new things so the overfall thing make sense and likely some tig to do so the all the respective arcs are about the same sier for kook purposes.

Nahhh, I think Wooster had served his overall narrative purpose and the Foglio's need a terrible/dramatic thing to happen. So they decided killing Wooster fit the bill.

I don't think Rakethorn is going to be leaving with Agatha and crew when they eventually depart England.
