Inkscape is incredibley easy to use once you get the hang of it. I mean look at my avi when I used MS Paint:





But now my avi's look great, all thanks to Inkscape!

But no, seriously, i agree with Vulion. Inkscape takes a little while to get used to. But when you do get used to it, it's far better and easier to use than paint.

I always had the problem with the neck! It was so annoying on paint! Also very good for an inkscape tryout comic. Indeed. Go inkscape.

When I draw my comics I usually start with the characters and then the background. But on Inkscape The background will overlap the characters if I try that. I really don't want to draw the background first so is there anyway, I can put the background behind them afterwards?

Yes you can, just add a layer at the bottom once you have finished drawing the characters and stuff.
