    Alaeth

Of course; it makes sense that the necromancers would not let these crypts go unguarded. Grateful that she had found the necessary arcane components—this spell might have been within her reach before, now that she thinks of it, but it would have required a sacrifice on her part—she withdraws a sliver of bone from the pouch, intoning words in Elven. "Tegi i gwand," she whispers, reaching out to to one of them to try and take command of the energies that drove it.

When Hellstar smoothly bursts from the eerily collapsing stairway and spots the two guardians, clearly designed to keep them in, he simply drops his shoulders and sighs. "They're not making it easy for us, are they?" Looking around, it's clear that it will be almost impossible to keep one's distance from the ponderous patchwork powerhouses, but he move back against a wall just the same, and focuses his magics into a bolt of force aimed at the golem that Noj was in melee with.

    Suzette

First, a door that's out of reach. Then a guardian programmed to disable rather than destroy. Those vile books meant to break our mental strength so it would be easier to regain control. Clueless guards, who couldn't have been much more than a delay even if there had been a full regiment of them. That trapped door was the first thing to pose any real danger, and it was all in all not too hard to circumvent. These crude... things have desperation written all over them, which means my way out must be close. And I will not let anything hold me back!

Suzette holds back for a mere moment to make sure the others are on the same wavelength, then runs around their first target to catch it in a pincer like movement and attack it from behind.

Ethan drops into a low crouch as soon as he sees the creatures, and waits with his sword drawn for the creatures to make their move. He waves his free hand in an intricate pattern, says a few short syllables in an unknown language, and suddenly blood erupts from his blade, and begins to drip to the ground. The blood, with its sweet coppery smell, seems drawn straight from Ethan himself, as he looks slightly drained by the ordeal.

Once the opportunity presents it's self, Ethan moves with lethal grace and strikes with deadly intent. 'More undead abominations...' He thinks ironically to himself.

As Noj and Jacob rush to fight the creatures in meele, they enter within their superior reach and the hulking monstrosities strike out with massive strength. Surprisingly-or maybe not so much-Noj staggers as the blow from a huge mace glances off his iron-hard skin but Jacob is thrown backwards twenty feet to smash into the wall, a fairly large gash down his chest marking the spot where a greatsword connected but didn't do as much damage as it would have done on a still-living creature.

Grumbling about foolishness, Alaeth uses a spell of necromancy and feels a connection with one of the two undead. To her surprise the undead bodies are utterly mindless despite their presence of mind to lash back at their attackers-and finds herself contesting with a hidden will within the body of the creature that is also controlling-or rather posessing it.

Hellstar and Ethan blast the second undead behemoth with magic and their spells hiss in protest then fizzle as something denies them their effects. Hellstar recoils in surprise-maybe a demon could resist spells naturally but undead beings could not...

Suzette strikes the undead horrors from behind but despite her much increased strength her blows have as little an effect on them as they would have on a human being-or a statue made of stone. Obviously, these undead are resilient to physical attacks to some extent.

Coming out of his imbalanced position, Noj grabs one of the swords held by the undead monsters with both hands and, with a great burst of strength removes it from the other undead being's grasp. Noj, it seems, is at least as strong as they are and though he is smaller, they are wielding those weapons in only one hand each and therefore cannot apply their full strength to any one of them.

Moving like the wind, Myriel lashes out with supernatural energies in the form of a long glaive at the first undead behemoth. Her conjured weapon long enough not having to enter the creature's reach to strike with it, her attack sears undead flesh leaving a thin but long and deep cut behind-and a great deal of foul smoke filling the room with the smell of rot and roasted flesh.

Roaring in anger or pain-though all coming from its mouth is a long hiss-the multi-armed horror Myriel harmed lashes out with blow after blow at the sorceress. Some of them she is able to sidestep but the first blow that lands knocks her down and four others land solidly.

Noj smashes his newly acquired weapon at the undead horror before him but his reckless blow is not enough to penetrate the abomination's flesh. Noj realises he'll have to aim for the softer parts of the rotting thing if he is to damage it.

Jacob rams a fist and a foot-long blade at the undead being's side-or at least tries to. His blows simply do not have enough strength to penetrate at the spot they land and his attacks were not accurate enough to strike at a joint or soft spot where the flesh would be softer.

Alaeth seems to be standing there idly-even swaying for a moment as if drunk-but doesn't really do anything else except for issuing the cryptic warning about demons...

Myriel strikes again at the undead creature before her, spearing it through its long-defunct stomach then jumps to her feet as foul smoke comes out of the new hole she's opened in the undead being's body while Hellstar blasts the same undead creature with his own eldritch energies, opening up a second smoking hole from afar.

Ethan, seeing his own spell fizzle, takes out his own shortsword and charges-but the second undead horror, previously inert, now moves to bash him with a mace and send him hitting a wall twenty feet away.

Suzette has the sudden idea to jump on one of the two walking corpses and due to her superior agility barely manages to balance on it then lock her feet around its bloated neck and head. With the creature unable to dodge, she strikes it twice in quick succession, her first blow stopping as if meeting stone, the second managing to crack the undead thing's skull. Ofcourse, a cracked skull is far from a fatal wound for an animated corpse.

Virmas attempts to disarm one of the massive weapons held by the undead horrors and the behemoth reacts by trying to strike him and throw him back but the weapon simply passes through his incoproreal form. Virmas suddenly feels like doused in icy water, what he'd expect to feel if he were a mortal and the undead being a ghost-but that's not how he felt when passing through walls and even the mortal guards he fought half an hour ago. Distracted, he tries to disarm but barely touches the enemy at all-and gets the same weird ghost-presence feeling from the undead entity.

One of the undead abominations-the one with Suzette on it-grabs her from her legs and violently throws her off its head so the other two hands can come to bear. Soon, Suzette is pinned, four huge arms straining with significant strength to crush her bones or rip her to shredds by strength alone.

The second undead abomination knocks Myriel down then simply steps on her, grinding her to the floor with one giant-sized, bloated leg on her back, the sorceress not nearly strong enough to dislodge the half a ton and more of its bulk.

In his second attempt, Virmas manages to pry an axe from the four-armed undead ogre's hand and for a fleeting moment he sees the image of a clawed but slender hand imposed over that of the undead being-then the ghostly image vanishes.

Alaeth seems more distracted now and it occurs to Hellstar that she's struggling to control the second undead horror-seeing as it has mostly stayed out of the fight.

Suzette struggles to leave the second horror's grasp and finds it surprisingly easy to slip the hold of a larger, stronger opponent. Once more, the second undead seems inert.

Jacob strikes at the hulking horror holding Myriel down-unable to dodge it is an easier target. His punch lands and is deflected by iron-hard skin but his sword bites into undead flesh-and deals no more than a scratch. Jacob curses himself for not using a larger, more effective weapon.

Noj, now swinging more carefully at a less mobile opponent strikes true and his great strength propels the sword he's holding fully half a foot into rotting flesh. That could have killed a living man unable to roll with the blow to lessen the damage but it is little more than an inconvenience for a powerful undead. Noj wonders how many such blows he can take himself and survive.

Hellstar's blast of magical energy might not have landed against a fully mobile enemy but against the creature engaged with Noj and Jacob and holding Myriel down, the magical blow hits it on the upper left shoulder, opening up yet another smoking hole.

Ethan gets on his feet and finds his bearings then moves close to enter the fight, warily staying outside the creature's reach.

One of the two undead horrors seems to be inert once more while the other pummels down on the futilely struggling Myriel with its leg, seeking to crush her bones and destroy her. The sorceress feels her bones snapping one by one-she is much, much tougher than when she was alive but the magics that hold her together now seem to be dispersing.

If all you have is a hammer, don't be lazy; be a blacksmith and start making more stuff.

    Virmas

Virmas looks to 'Jacob.' "Use this!" He tosses the axe towards Jacob, letting it land at his feet.

He then attempts to grab the ogre, pulling it off Myriel.

    Suzette

When the four arms around her stop struggling, Suzette slides down and finds herself staring straight in Alaeth's face, which seems to be transfixed on her sister.

A plethora of different emotions wash over her. First of all, an almost overpowering desire to rain blows on the defenseless creature behind her, to turn around and hit and tear and rip and kick until nothing's left but a heap of goo. Secondly, a short burst of malicious glee at the sight of the oh-so-powerful sorceress being squished like the piece of vermin that she is.

But then, there is also sorrow for her milder sister; no one should have to watch a loved one come to her end like that. Furthermore, disgust with how the violent actions of the other could have riled her so much, and lastly, a strong stubborn desire that she, and she alone decides upon her actions, not some urge planted inside her by a necromancer and definitely not a bout of Schadenfreude. "Where you end up depends on the roads you choose to travel."

She ducks underneath the arms of the second monster, slides between its legs, plants her shoulder in its groin and pushes upwards to lift it off the ground.

    Hellstar

Hellstar almost feels sorry for Myriel, but somehow his emotions seem dulled. Between the distractions of battle and the altered perceptions of his undead form, he just doesn't feel things like he used to. It is for this reason that it only slowly it dawns on Hellstar that Alaeth's empathy for her sister might be causing her some distress and distracting her concentration.

Rushing closer to Myriel but staying out of the creature's long reach, Hellstar gathers his blood-energies while yelling out, "If you're getting bored of being stomped on, Myriel, I suggest you assume a different form!" Letting loose his blast, Hellstar quickly backs away from the creature again.

    Alaeth

Alaeth looks up, still swaying slightly; her gaze alternates between Myriel and the second, less active of the two creatures. Her expression betrays anxiety and apprehension, expressions that are unusual on the normally self-confident elf's face. Then she stands up straighter, looking more resolved—though the apprehension is not gone, not entirely.
