Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
Not unlike the second page, the final frame is a brief flashforward meant to artistically infer that "eternity" is indeed a necessary step.
If you meant Bayar's comment, I have no idea.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
That was really good. The punch of the last frame is going to be reduced if in the next comic you go back to their escape from Arcania, but that's still a really good place for a flashforward. Bravo.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
Alas, I'm just quite fond of brief artsy flashforwards in the occasional really-serious strip. The next comic after this one (32) is comedy with troops on the enemy side, followed in 33 with some humour involving small animals with language difficulties.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
In that case, I would have kept the convention of putting Igon in the foreground. Either way, it was still a really good comic.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
There are certainly going to be plenty of reasons for him to hate Sildyu very soon (It's an annual affair, by the way, not centural)
I'm getting props all across the Internet for that eulogy, it's slightly disturbing...Last edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2008-01-25 at 06:44 AM.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
Alright, I suppose I'll receive a mix of groans and congrats when I say that I'm working on putting together a dedicated website for Remember. At the moment, I'm ironing the kinks out of the main page, after that I imagine the other pages will be pretty easy, then it's on to the new content (Like character bios and geography).
@V I am hoping for there to be a forum, provided I can A) Find a supplier and B) Figure out how to work the darn thing. Admins will be decided when I do both of the above and the site is actually up and running.Last edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2008-01-25 at 07:10 PM.

I've run an invisionfree message board before. It's really easy to manage.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
I wholly support you starting your own site for this comic. The only time I've ever felt dissapointed visiting this thread were the few occasions I arrived and not found a new comic waiting to be read. Every one of them, from the cannon comics, to the humorous one-shots, to the sneak peaks has been solid gold. Expect me to be a regular visitor to the new site, and good luck!
BTW, loved that last comic. The last frame was awesome, though the impact would have been greater without the other two text boxes there. Just my 2 cp.Last edited by rickvoid; 2008-01-26 at 09:24 AM.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
Heh. I just got an image in my head of a bunch of plot goblins running frantically up and down the corridors of the starship Enterprise with the red alert siren whooping in the background, while a red-shirted goblin exclaims in a scotish brogue to a tan-shirted goblin with plasticy hair; "The comics're solid gold sir! The Bandwidth, she cannot take more o' this, Captain!"
... Now I'm totally waiting for one of the ABR guys to see this and whip it up in Inkscape. LOLOriginally Posted by H_V

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
No.
Well... okay. The "The Bandwidth, she cannot take more o' this, Captain!" line popped in my head first, followed by the Scotty-looking Plot Goblin and Kirk Plot Goblin, then the other goblins running around in the background with the red alert siren as icing on the cake.
Yeah. My brain is funny like that. Now, if only I could find some way to get said images directly transfered from my brain to my computer... hmm...
Picard: Go to Edit Alert!!
No no no. I was just kidding, it wasn't a request or anything. Sometimes when people say stuff like that, somebody who does ABR ends up whipping up a picture just for the hell of it. I'm not seriously expecting someone to do that. If somebody feels motivated by my post and wants to do that, it'd be cool and I'd totally photobucket and link to it in my sig, with authors name (like I did with Szilard's 40K avatar he did for me). But nobody should feel obligated to do anything. Srsly.
I use the smallbiggrin smilie way too much, don't I?Last edited by rickvoid; 2008-01-26 at 11:17 AM.
