The silver stars of the Eclipsing Moon (Chapter 2)

"Good idea, Karl. That might get us the same knowledge indirectly."

Right. Karl walks back to the other werewolf. Okay, the first question I have, is why is there a community of werecreatures living here in the first place?

[Maryring]

The werewolf lord grins ever so slightly. "An... interesting question, and one I would think you could figure out on your own. Look at yourself. Do you think you could ever live in a regular society?" He shakes his head. "You seem to have control over your form. Most werewolves however, do not have control over their own shape-shifting abilities. When the full moon arrives, they are forced to change, and most have little control of themselves when that happens. They are feared by common folk, and for a good reason. So the question then is, what do you do with them? Do you just... kill them to prevent them from bringing harm to others? It is a simple solution, but it is an unjust solution. No one should be forced to die, just so others can feel safe. That was the belief of one of my forefathers. He founded this community for the werecreatures in Miklagard. It is meant to be a place where they can live, without fear of being persecuted, and without fear of harming others when they involuntarily shift. Does that answer your question? Then here is mine. Why do you all travel with that girl?"

[The Great Skenardo]

Bronsk
Still glowering, Bronsk answers.
"She iz our friend, and we help each other. Iz most honest answer."

[Maryring]

The werewolf lord snarls towards Bronsk. "Is that how you want to play it huh? Well then, bring me your question."

[The Great Skenardo]

Bronsk
Bronsk snarls back.
"You tried to rob and kill us! You are all disgrace to wolf spirits."

[Maryring]

"You have no idea about the necessity of our actions, and the violence was something you brought on yourselves. Matters could have been resolved without anyone risking death, but your foolish pride wouldn't stand for that would it? But it's good..." The werewolf lord looks towards Mia. "Now tell me how you know her before I lose my temper."

[Ozzy_G]

Karl mutters something to himself in Nephrinian.

Bloody barbarians. Don't even know how to act in a civilised way. Probably wouldn't want to even if they did.

He sighs, resigned. I met her when I met them, he says gesturing at the other two werewolves. So that's how I know her.

Varek

"... same here..." mutters Varek, still not being in the mood to push the issue.

Lisaa

"Bronsk and me met her when she was trapped in a collapsed cave mouth back in Sotonia a few weeks ago. We have travelled with her ever since.", says Lisaa. "Karl and Varek joined our later."

[Maryring]

"Then... why?! But that will have to be my next question, so hurry up and give me yours." He growls softly, eyes still fixed on Mia who is obviously not comfortable with the gaze fixed on her.

Karl frowns, then ushers the others back away from the other werewolf again.
We should ask him about that man, uh, Bearsson was it? They all sound the same to me. But anyway, we need to ask him in a, well, non-obvious way, just in case. Bronsk, you're a local, you understand Miklegardians, I don't. How should we ask him?

Varek rolls his eyes at Karl. "Why don't we just, like, ask him what's up with that Bearsson guy? Why does he hate the queen so much? Something like that?"

Karl rolls his eyes. Subtlety! Have you ever heard of it? Do you not think he'll wonder why we want to know that? Karl scratches his chin. Maybe if we mention that we're going to see him to trade, and we want to know what they know about him... or we heard that werewolves work for him...

[Amiria]

Lisaa

"Our host has no sense for subtlety. Enough of this beating around the bush. We'll play it straight now.", hisses Lisaa. She turns to the werewolf lord and looks him straight in the eye. "What's the relationship of you and your pack to Bearsson. Are you friend or foe ?"

[Maryring]

"Bearsson? A narcissistic bigot. Too scared to admit that compared to Rieze, he is as strong as a newborn baby. Why?"

Is that your question to us then? asks Karl archly.
