Ohio Meetup Interest Gauge Thread!

Well the denizens of ootschat have been discussing who knows whom in person, and PhoeKun and I realized that we're only a few hours apart but neither of us have met any other GitPers. This prompted me to remember the thread ages back discussing the possibility of a meetup in the Cleveland area, and I vaguely think there had been a decent amount of interest... so here we are again. I realize that it couldn't be anytime soon, but if there was going to be a meetup planned somewhere in the Ohio area, would there be a decent level of interest from the rest of the GitPers?

I sometimes try to make it to Cinncinnasti... but vacation time might be pretty tight. When were you thinking of doing this?

I have totally no idea. Since I'm just turning 17 my travel is limited, but I'm homeschooled so I can pretty much work with anything. I figured we'd just see who's interested then start throwing out dates or something. (I'm really bad at this planning stuff)

I would echo this sentiment (the time, not the gas). Christmas will find me in Tennessee (and I'm not doing a back-and-forth in the middle of that vacation), but late January will place me within striking distance of a meetup, and early enough in the semester that I won't have to worry about giving up a weekend to frivolity...

Since I now live over in Indiana I can make Ohio pretty easily. Cinci would be awesome, but I can probably manage anywhere in the state. Cleveland would be a bit far, but I could probably manage it.

Well, I just said Cleveland because that's where I am and as a not even quite 17 year old, travel would be a serious pain to pull off. Obviously a meetup could occur somewhere else, but I wouldn't be as inclined to plan it since I would likely be missing it, unless it was real close.

Given that fact alone, I'm more inclined to place it in Cleveland. I mean, I'd also like another opportunity to point and laugh at Jacobs Field, but... well, I just think this will work better.
