I think the only fair way would be to see who all can only make it to place X or Place Y and plan around that. I can do either, although I would prefer Columbus so I wouldn't really count my vote.

Another factor would be common meeting area? Where could we meet at each place?

I can definitely make Cinci, Columbus wouldn't be too much worse. Cleveland would be difficult, but I would probably manage to make it.

I've got enough contacts in Cinci that I might be able to find a place to meet, but I can't make any promises at this point.

I saw on the website that if I register before Jan 11th, me and Trog can get in for 50 smackers. So me and him are definitely going. (since I will have my first paycheck by then. )

I will be waiting to try to get the hotel room. The best hotel is always full up but rooms start opening up in the months ahead of the event. So sometime about Feb, I will begin trying to get a room there. And then using the strong arm techinques to get people to come so our hotel room doesn't cost so much.

Oh, Origins does sound fun, but I won't have the spare time to attend two Cons either. GenCon '08 it will be. Though, admittedly, the plan is to make that a two week affair and hit both Sturgis and GenCon for a Hog Goblin dream vacation.

I'm all for it, but i can't if it's outside cleveland. to far for me. Also, if it were a bit outside the actual bounds of cleveland that'd be even better, a guy i work with lives inside city limits and actually waits by his window to see when it's safe to go get his mail and newspaper. I don't want to be inviting people into that kind of city, so i say anything in the cleveland area is good for me.

I'm in a suburb outside of Cleveland in a very nice neighborhood, but honestly most of Cleveland isn't as bad as all that. There are a few really bad spots, but every city has that.

Ok. I exaggerate. There are good and bad neighborhoods in every city. Even Cleveland and Detroit. But as a whole Detroit is a much rougher town than other cities of it's size or larger.

ok, im not saying ten feet out of city limits, im saying something like strongsville. its maybe a half hour drive south from parts of cleveland, and i know a comic shop im sure the owner wouldn't mind us at least meeting at. course if he doesn't think you in paticular are going to spend money he's gonna mess with your head, like this guy i know was standing right by a wall of boxed up magic the gathering singles, and he told him he didn't have any single cards.

I'm in a lovely area of Cleveland Heights, and I was thinking somewhere around here... I don't know anything about Strongsville, but I really don't feel a need to get THAT FAR out of the city limits. I think you'll survive being within a few miles of Cleveland without being shot.
