So, I apologize for not spelling this out, but my plan for the first arc of this game, was for this to basically be a heist, with Laura gathering a crew, and breaking into Arcadia to rescue Sarah and maybe any other changelings under The Bristle Crowned Gardener... and maybe finding out more about The King in Yellow in the process. But let me know if that doesn't sound interesting, and we can go a different route.

I'd say stay with that. As I said, I'm not quite sure what I'm doing here so the urge is to post in such a way that Laura night be able to do something about it. I think most of my other characters would be more cautious.

This isn't lack of interest but it might be awkward to put the GM in the position of working round a bad player decision if they're doing something suicidal.

Anyway, it's starting to get cooler here again and I'll get any remaining posts up tomorrow.

I'll say resolved the aspiration of making an enemy in the Free Coin for Snigglebutt... even though he isn't directly a member of the Freehold. I'll give Laura a beat for rescuing Giant when he was trapped in the hole, as part of "rescuing someone from the hedge". I'll give her one more additional beat for finding out what happened to Sarah and agreeing to try to save her from The Hedge. This brings her to 1 beat and 1xp.



I'll give her a WP toward Protector for agreeing to help Giant. I'll give you one more WP for rescuing Giant from the hole as part of Protector. This brings her back to 4WP. When she goes to sleep next she will recover an additional point.

Was drawing a blank on what else Laura can do to prepare here. Especially as it feels like she might be approaching a check point where other business should be sorted out if possible.

I suppose she does need glamour so can be on the look out for an opportunity to feed.

Secondly, she ought to check in with at least one of her touchstones, and Monica is homeless so might have problems in addition to the possibility of being kidnapped by hobgoblins.

Other then that I don't think the King in Yellow is someone who can be researched beyond what Laura already knows about him. Unless you have any suggestions on that point.

OK, for glamour, going to look for a live band or a club. Anywhere where there might be people enjoying themselves. Failing that, I'll look for any bar with the biggest crowd and see what I can pick up.

I haven't noticed a problem in accessing the link but it sometimes appears as a little blurry for some reason.

I'm honestly not sure if it is something on my end, but multiple browsers on my laptop essentially refuse to follow the link citing security concerns; which I was not having before. I've attempted to override it on both Chrome and "Edge" but even when I follow the necessary steps, both browsers refuse to open up the character sheet. So if you wouldn't mind hosting the sheet in another means... that would be appreciated.

That said, it has come to my attention that I've been failing on using a couple of key rules for Changeling that I wanted to bring up, specifically to apologize and clarify that I want to start using them going forward. I won't list the full rules here, but will briefly explain and provide page numbers so that you can check.

The first is Hedge Spinning. Basically, anytime you make any roll or check in the The Hedge (which I suspect will be happening again relatively shortly... and this would include The Tumbledown), you can state that you want to include Hedge spinning into the roll. You take a slight negative modifier depending on where in the Hedge you are, and any additional successes you receive can be used to change the Hedge or add future benefits to your attempted actions. The flip to this, is anytime you make an investigation roll (it also says navigate, but I can't see using this), while in the Hedge, the Hedge gets to make a Hedgespinning roll and can change itself around you. Note, that you have to declare this before your roll, but I will try to prompt you when appropriate. See pg 204 for the full rules and a list of things you can do with this.

The second is related to your Court. As a member of the Court of Barter (pretty sure that is your court but again, can't triple check your character sheet ATM), you gain a point of glamour any time you successfully intercede on someone's behalf during an unfair deal. So this may be something Laura looks to do going forward. Furthermore, she gains bonus dice from her mantle to read someone's situation from their behavior (basically on Empathy rolls). This can be reviewed on 291-2.

Any speed issue is mostly various external RL things that no one can help me with. In terms of the game it's either about me trying to post in Geist first or ocasionally it's me being not entirely sure how to proceed on something.
