Tunia notices Sonny talking and saunters over, eyeing him carefully with her dark brown eyes. She removes her mask entirely so her dark brown hair pops out in a girlish pony-tail. "You must be Sonny. I always just seem to miss you back in Kandor. My father says you are one of the best... and a loyalist. He wanted you for his assassin school. I think I'll like you." She pulls close enough where Sonny can smell her exotic and expensive perfume.

Tunia is surprised by Sharon's comment, glad to turn to face her. "Hey, I work for the same guy you do. He told me something about redeeming myself. And sent 3 thugs to help you out."

Daniel looks skeptically at her, chuckling under his breath, "Your marriage to the Orc King didn't work out."

"Aw, hush up! That was just a little ploy that the emperor denied. I don't want to hear anything from you. And no he didn't touch me, either. Yeeech! It's bad enough it caused my girlfriend to leave me."

Arha

Arha would have preferred to animate the missing brains guy as a skeleton, but things moved along quickly. She sizes up Tunia and could really care less for her. She crosses her arms and waits for something more interesting to happen.

Daniel looks at your group. Then to Tunia.
"We have... important business to attend to..." He pauses to look at the rest of you, "Perhaps we should meet the Guild-men. I hate to disappoint my business partners." He seems annoyed when he says this.

Sharon

Sharon shrugs, turning it into a provocative gesture without trying, "Who are 'they', then if not the people who employ you?" she asks of Petunia. Glancing over at Daniel she says, "Are we done here, then? Time to see who this assassin has brought?"

Daniel is deep in thought, and looks at his sister in anger, "You stay with me. I have words for you." He looks to the rest of you, "I will be in touch. I respect your honor, and I hope I can be of more aid to you all in the future."

Ibis smirks at Sharon and Arha, "I guess we'll have to have our evening nightcap another time... or perhaps later...." She'll wink and go off with her brother.

The rest of you can find your way back, and cocky Tunia will gladly lead you on alone. Tunia chuckles as she leads on, "Well, I guess I'm back with the guild. Good to see I'm keeping with quality people. My girlfriend will be so proud." Some how she sounds sarcastic as she leads you all on.

3 Guildmen in the Waiting Room: {Jendra, Guj, Corin}
The wealth and beauty that the designer put into this palace took much effort and forethought. Everything was planned to please the viewer most. Even the most hardened warriors had to appreciate the man-made structures intertwined through the garden-walk in the outer bailey. Hanging grape vines and covered paths made the land a seeming walled paradise. There was a blue/light blue theme, when the marbled hew of the stone walls of the palace, that sparkled with a bluish quartz.

The soldiers that filled the room showed they trust not one of this odd trio. All three of you know each other from somewhere, at least you think you all work for the OLD Guildmaster {Vito III}. His rebel son {Vito IV} has decided to take his former inheritance early, though the Guildmaster title now officially falls upon the grandson {Vito V}. Anyway, its all quite confusing {especially for the guild-grunts}, but the guildmaster paid well, and treated you all with utter respect. It wasn't until a month ago any of you had met him.

Some of you might have fine underground guild apartments, in the best of cities. But, a jobs a job, and this one he wanted the best. So he called on you three and sent you to this jungle isle.

A bonus was he was going to link you up with some of the best firepower in the guild's empire. He wanted this job done right so he came to personally greet each of you. And welcomed you to his secret underground home.

He let you have a month of total guild paid vacation, plus bonuses.

Now, this was the big one. A job that would put you into a new class where you could retire in luxury if you wanted. But, it had to be completed. You had your biggest hit, and it wasn't going to be easy. The guildmaster's own son, Vito the Fourth.

You were hooked up with some noble in the assassin guild, a cocky young woman named Tunia. And she was to take you to a border isle, heavily mixed Yuan and Imperial in populous. You had yet to see her face, but you recognize her well enough when she returns with what seems to be your quarry.

"Hello, friends. I got us some big guns."


THE DARKLORDS ENTER: {cue: Sonny, Sharon, Arha, and Hiram}
The walk to the front of the palace took about 20 minutes. And once again you aren't surprised by the beauty of it all. Though the 3 figures in the room might surprise you.

The 3 warriors are equally surprised by what follows the unmasked assassin, Tunia, and her bouncing pony-tail. Two gorgeous red heads, a man who's presence demands respect, and a very familiar face that all three of the new warriors recognize from somewhere.

Jendra, Sonny, Guj, and Corin all worked in some aspect for the guild. Jendra grew up in the heart of the empire, as did Guj, both VERY likely came across one another in their adventures. In Kandor Sonny was bodyguard to some of the guildmaster's family. Sonny was often seen as part of banquet parties in the shadows. Corin would have done work on the seas that carried him from Yuan to all isles of the old Empire, clearly of Yuanese descent.

Tunia will look at Sonny, and smirk. "I bet you don't remember me do you?"

Sharon

What with one event or another that has happened to her in her life, Sharon is easily the most beautiful woman you've ever seen who didn't rely heavily on magical charms to improve her looks. She's wearing a tight and revealing forest green dress. Her hair is red with streaks of gold, and her vivid green eyes are also heavily flecked with gold. One oddity of appearance, especially in a palatial setting like this, is a pair of green boots instead of fancy slippers or shoes. A silver circlet is set in hair.

She doesn't say anything for the moment, merely sizing up the three additions before her.

Sonny

The one called Sonny, is a human of huge size. He wears an elegant mithral light armor, with a black robe with orange linings. He's in his early 40's, one could guess. He is certainly not good-looking, but he takes great care on his appereance, and he seems to be confident about it.

He has medium-short black hair, but there are far too many grey locks in his hair for his age. He has neatly trimmed earlocks. He looks to be powerfully built, and usually moves slowly.

Those who have seen him before, remember a totally different people. Sonny used to be almost fat, and didn't care about his appereance, and he had a long ponytail. Certainly a lot happened to him in the last year.

He looks at Tunia, and laughs - The baby Petunia? How could I not remember? I see that you haven't changed, you're still the naughty little girl I knew... Altough you did grow up to a fine young lady, if I may add.

Looking at the newcomers, ha comments. - If you say that these are trustworthy thugs, I have no qualm about working with them.

Arha looks like her avi and it also captures her personality. She has dark red hair, pale skin, green eyes and wears a semi-revealing black dress with a long slit up the thigh. She stands near Sharon and looks the new people up and down, sizing them up.

She wears a couple of pieces of jewelry. An interesting necklace with the pendant hiding in her bosom and 5 bracelets on one delicate wrist. The insides of her arms are scored with fresh lines and markings which were probably done with a knife. She isn't carrying any obvious weapons.

Jendra

Like the two women who've just entered the room, the one already within it has reddish hair, although it's more of a coppery brown than a true red. Unlike them, her face is rather unremarkable, and she is neither voluptuous nor dressed for a party. She's wearing close-fitted brown leather armor and pants—not the tight, revealing leather favored by some Guild assassins, but a thick leather whose sole purpose was to stay between the wearer and any sharp objects people might point at her. A short blade hangs at her side, and there's a pair of daggers in her belt and a bow on her back. She looks competent, certainly; but in a gang, you wouldn't glance at her twice.

The nondescript woman glances at the new arrivals, running her eyes over each of them for no more than a couple seconds; whatever she's thinking, it isn't written on her face. After a second, she nods, a simple wordless greeting.

The noble-assassin, Tunia, looked like she'd been in too many street fights, but her body was tight and quite sexy in her ninja-leathers. She looks about and shrugs.
"I'm not sure our hosts are going to want us all staying here. I know some places in the city. But, then I don't want to assume anything... not sure exactly what your plan was. I actually was told Vito was setting us with a few more people."
She looks at those here counting them with her eyes. Her question sees for Arha and Sharon. She seems to be afraid of Hiram.
{OOC- Hiram's sense motive can easily see this.}

Sonny

Don't worry about that Tunia, I believe our host is not keen on letting the ladies go away so easily.

Looking at the newcomers, he smirks - But you shlould have been informed that we are dealing with the highest class around here. We can't let some rag-tag looking thugs ruin our reputation. Do you know a tailor nearby, or can you fend some clothes for them? - he asks Tunia.

Until then, I believe we should introduce ourselves. The ladies are baroness Sharon, and lady Arha. The gentleman is brother Hiram, and I am executive officer Sonny, as you might now. - it looks like Sonny especially loves formalities - So, who might you be, and what's your occupation?

Altough Sonny is wearing an armour right now, it is a very elegant mitral light armour of the finest dark elven design, partly covered with silk robes. It looks more like a show-off of wealth than a battle utility.


(OOC, I'm assuming that they are not dressed properly for a noble ball. Two introductions are missing, but tell me if I'm wrong.)

Hiram

Hiram acknowledges the newcomers with a slight bow. His hauteur says priest. He's a human of average height, long dark hair, and vivid blue eyes.

"I think we've done enough damage here for one evening, Sonny*. I would like to retire to the city and contemplate how these latest developments affect our plans."

With a eye on Sharon, Hiram adds, "When Daniel finishes with Ibis, I think she'll seek us out."

Arha nods back to Jendra. Perhaps it'll work out...

She uncrosses her arms and relaxes a little. She smooths down her dress and glances over at Sharon as she waits for everyone to decide what they think they want to do. "I do believe we have rooms waiting for us?"

Jendra

"Jendra," she replies to Sonny. "Rag-tag looking thug." She says it deadpan, but she doesn't seem offended, so it's probably a joke.

Reaching up with one hand, she taps a simple headband, and her outfit blurs and shifts into a drab grey dress, the sort of garb a maid would easily wear. "Would a personal servant be better? Or a relative in from the country?" The dress shimmers again, becomes a gown with a revealing cut—or it would be revealing on another figure, anyway; on Jendra, it just looks like a great deal of money and effort has been spent to make her more beautiful, with very little success.

The weapons are still present, of course, which spoils the effect, and the two knives are hidden fast enough that the eye has difficulty following. The short blade follows, but this time it's easy enough to see that she's strapping it to her leg under the illusory dress. The bow is more troublesome; she takes that in one hand, hefting it and looking at it consideringly.

To the City:
You will have no trouble leaving escorted by Tunia. The guards seem happy to see her leave.

The overdone Princess Inn awaits. A casino full of activity, and nightlife of all sort. It at the wall of the palace, and a haunt of lesser nobles.

There is much to do here, but I get the feeling we are ready to move on...
at least to a suite where you can be holed up together. There are also individual rooms.

There is one other Inn that is by far the most expensive, and that is the planar Inn; the Blue Wizard's Baths. This might be a side-adventure in its own however...

Sharon

Sharon shrugs at Jendra's changing dress. "Whatever you prefer, however, I think it would be in your best interest to not claim to be a relative of mine. My ascension to nobility is fairly recent, and my origins are much more humble. I understand it's something of a scandal."

Jendra

Jendra nods, and the dress is plain gray and high-necked again. "We'll work something out if you ever need me at a fancy party," she comments, and follows the others to their lodgings.

Sonny

He looks at Jendra, and sighs - My dear, if you ever want to step out of the shadows, eventually you'll have to become comfortable with the habits of the upper class.

I've got some socializing to do, would you join me at the casino? These places are excellent sources of information, a the kind of thing we dearly need in any mission. - He aims his question towards everyone, including Jendra.

Arha follows Sharon into the room and she sits nearby, with one hand held out negligently towards Sharon.

"Perhaps I'll join you in a little while? I have something I'd like to do first..." The second half of that sentence is targeted towards Sharon.

Sharon

"I could be persuaded, Sonny. What did you have in mind?" she asks, looking over as Arha speaks up. "Ah, yes, I suppose we should tend to that, shouldn't we?" she asks Arha in a casual sort of tone.

One corner of her mouth turns up in a small satisfied smile at Sharon's response.

The Casino of the Princess Inn:
Guj and Corin will wander off at this point, as Sonny and Jendra consider the casino. Guj will not be seen again, a famous guild boxer he likely had made many friends as well as a few enemies.

As to the casino, this would be much smaller than your modern {real world} sense of one is. There are perhaps 30 people here, including the vendors. There was a couple card games, a roulette wheel, a large craps table, and a strange game involving coins being thrown onto a board. Tunia will follow Sonny and Jendra, heading towards the craps table. "I love to craps."

Most of the people here are wealthy merchant class looking people with colorful clothes. The merchant class usually overdid their colors, and these men were no exception with loud tunics, and awful color combinations, some in too many shades. The staff were a mix of men and women, all good looking and wearing a black suit or gown... Both fit to form, and in the women, slit to reveal as well... there were a few female guests here too.

5 guests who interested Sonny and Jendra the most.
The first was the only merchant class man in anything that wasn't outrageous and gaudy. A well-dressed man wore dark purple and black themes. Arha almost guesses that this man could be a noble undercover. On his arm was an extremely pretty, but trashy low-class hooker... not even dressed up for the locale.
The second man was a boisterous 350 lb man, with a long mustache and a bright yellow hat that was almost blinding to look at. He was doing quite well at the poker table.
The lone player at the roulette table was a dark skinned Antarian with a giant fro. This man was even darker than any you normally see, he was intensely staring at the spinning numbers.
A fourth person of curiousity in the casino was a man in a patchwork suit of every color imaginable, and even the ones that were not. He wore his clothes as a wizard's robe, and even wore the classic pointed wizard hat. This might be just a merchant though, in an ugly suit.
The last one is a noble looking woman in a fine silver mithril hauberk. She has a shield on her back, and sword on her hip. This attractive and strong blonde notices you all enter, and tries to hide the fact she watched you all enter. She focuses on the blackjack table, after you guys enter. She has a strange absence of any heraldry at all, and seems themed in silver armory.

Arha and Sharon will most likely head to their room first and then reappear in the gaming area later. ((with DarkLadyoftheSith's agreement of course))

Sonny and Jendra will successfully infiltrate the casino portion of the Inn, as Sharon and Arha retire for their rendezvous in the bedroom. The rooms are still clean and waiting.

Sonny

The first two were interesting, for they seemed to be from an upper class than the rest of the people here. Altough the hooker did confuse Sonny with this, he decided not to choose them. The Antarian looked like a wealthy tourist, nothing of interest. The man in colourful robes is either a mad merchant, or a mad wizard. Sonny wished to avoid both.

The fifth, the girl was, of course more interesting, for two reasons. She was watching Sonny, and she was heavily armed and armoured, unlike the others in the casino.

Jandra, would you like to try your luck at the poker table? Don't be afraid to lose some money, you can always report it towards the guild as "cost of information". - Sonny signaled towards the huge man, and with a wink, he left, slowly towards the blackjack table, where the blonde girl was standing.

Sonny doesn't relly favor disguise and deception. Or originality, for that matter. He walks next to the girl, pretending to be watching the blackjack table as well.

So, what does a nice girl like you do in such a ridiculous place? - he asks in a perfectly nondescript voice, as he knows that he was using the worst pick-up line ever for starting a conversation. He does not look to the girl for more than half a second, he keeps watching the game, altough it does not interest him at all.

Jendra

Jendra nods. "Be nice to know what information you're looking for," she murmurs to Sonny before he heads over to the girl. For this, she's back in her street clothes, looking like a moth among butterflies.

After Sonny goes, she makes her way over to the poker table, watching the next hand before asking to be dealt in.

Sonny only briefly answers - Anything. In this business you don't know what you're looking for until you found it. - then he leaves.
