Re: Into the Breach: OOC
Hmm,I thought about it a little more, and realized that ToB stuff, especially the crusader, is a bit complex for a message board game. Would have to use so many extra dice rolls just to figure out which maneuvers I have access to, then keep track of those via board posting...in other words, too complicated :) Think I'm just going to switch to a human fighter2/Knight1.

Re: Into the Breach: OOC
@Rux - thanks! Be sure to put down your languages (common and elven). Also 6'1" is pretty beefy, especially since half-elves tend to be 4'7" +2d8 (for a 5'11" max) and 100 lb. × (2d4) lb. (for a 228 max). Not that it matters much, but I thought I would throw that in.

Good start everyone...
I have sent a PM to grego, and we will let Maryring's character, Kirke, fill in when she gets back.
If you need to buy any different equipment, please do so now that you know what to expect. Do not subtract money for the toll.

Thanks Darius please let me know if the equipment is ok as well.
For non standard items
I had the 4 potions (2 cure light, 1 cats and 1 bulls), +1 chain shirt, MW Battle Axe and MW Hand Axe by my calculations all my gear and the coins add up to 3000 but willing to change anything out you do not like or approve of.

@All - I am going to allow LatemYvaeh to join up since it appears as though grego may not be joining us. I find the irony to be humorous.
We will simply say that a half-orc is among the group. You will have noticed that many of the people shy away from him and openly show their disgust, for to many he is the enemy.Characters:

Party information - I will assume that Jaeur's and Zaefner's combined memories will be able to give the group this map (that is if it is important ):

1st - To use, you copy the goofy text from the line with BEGIN all the way down to the one with END (it works best if you CTRL C it instead of using your mouse).
2nd - Then you click on the link -> http://24.97.85.139/java/mmee/
3rd - Paste (CTRL V) copied text for map in the smaller rectangle under the bigger box (the one with the scroll arrows).
4th - click Load Map button
5th - look at map as reference to posting
Also the other buttons like Cycle Grid allows graph papers of different types to be used.
The text I linked at the top is the one that needs to be used due to a glitch.

Re: Into the Breach: OOC
I think you may have tried to insert rolls after making the post. You cannot edit [roll][/roll] into a post once it has gone. Additionally you cannot PREVIEW a post with rolls in it, as it will break the coding. Maybe that helps? Your formatting is good, that's why I think that's the problem.

Re: Into the Breach: OOC
There's a lot of little things to learn around here. Just ask when problems arise, we'll help out as best we're able.
Also, if something happens to a roll, I usually redo 'em in the OOC threads.
@Darius: How're we gonna handle crits? I usually do the following:
Attack: (1d20+6)[26]
Crit?: (1d20+6)[24]
Damage: (1d8+2)[4]
And then multiply the damage roll by the weapon's modifier. Not the greatest way, sometimes, but it's quick and efficient and limits the amount of space needed for rolls... Otherwise, I suppose it'd look like this:
Attack: (1d20+6)[11]
Crit?: (1d20+6)[26]
Damage: (1d8+2)[10] plus (1d8+2)[4] if confirmed.
Or for a bow,
Attack: (1d20+6)[24]
Crit?: (1d20+6)[23]
Damage: (1d8+2)[6] plus (2d8+4)[15] if confirmed.
You get the idea...I have returned!! Not that most of y'all know whom I am.

Re: Into the Breach: OOC
@grego - not a problem at all. I usually post at least once a day during the week (and expect everyone to do the same). However, I understand that weekends may be a bit harder for RL fun reasons (since I use down time at work, and try and have fun on weekends). Therefore, I my one a day post rule is more lax for me and you players.
@All - to answer GimliFett's question regarding crits. I would just like to have one attack roll done in the IC thread towards the bottom after an ooc: tag or within spoilers (similar to what I have done). If a crit threat range is achieved, then use the OOC thread to roll that up.
Just a quick course in the essentials:
For the following, replace {} with []
{roll=Attack}1d20+2{/roll}
would give you this: Attack - (1d20+2)[9]
{spoiler}
Your information you want hidden.
{/spoiler}
would get you this:
Spoiler
Your information you want hidden.
As GimliFett pointed out, do not preview post. Also, do not go back and try to put in a roll after the fact. If you mess up (or forgot to roll something), simply use the OOC forum for that.Characters:

Re: Into the Breach: OOC
You can go ahead and edit your post. How it works is you can roll, and then go back and edit the normal text (not the rolling commands). You just can't go back in and try and edit/give text commands for rolling. That way a person can't keep re-rolling until he gets the roll he wants.
Short story: you can edit anything that doesn't relate to rolling.Characters:

Unfortunately, there aren't many places to hide with a view of the main doors to the warehouse. If you wanted, Daven could climb up to a rooftop and watch from there. It is cold, mind you - and most of the spare crates have been used for firewood or in shanty construction.Characters:

Ok. Shall I edit my post and put up climbing stats? My Resnet is having trouble with the map system tonight. I am going to edit my post to reflect climbing, (Or an attempt to.) I will get the map working in the morning. Sorry for the trouble.
Edit: I just made a new post to included climbing. Forgive my ignorance but I am having a little trouble editing tonight, so I am going to sleep until the server is fixed.Last edited by Rux Ealdorman; 2008-02-23 at 01:41 AM. Reason: Clarification
