    I'm no great tactician, but shouldn't we leave one entryway open? So we can ready attacks, have "on higher ground" bonuses over the sewer holes...
    And more control about which way they might try to enter.

    Mellavin is even less of a tactician though, and he would never propose anything like that

    I'd also like to know if there is any time left, so that Kirke could perhaps cast an Abjuration or Transmutation in preparation of what will happen now.

    Also, repeating my earlier question. Can I buy more spells for my spell-book than those I learn through leveling up, or do I have to wait until I find them IC?

    @all - there is "buff" time. You can plan on a few (read 3) rounds of actions being able to be taken before anything happens. For instance - moving crates, climbing crates, unbinding peace strings, casting spells, inspiring comrades, using items, mounting up, readying an action, etc.

    I am simply getting things ready on this end (plus giving you guys a visual to use in your plan.)

    @Maryring - How I do scribing spells in spellbooks is just like the PH/CORE. This means that a wizard may acquire spells through adventuring (100gp/spell level), scribing a scroll in the book (cost of scroll + 100gp/spell level), and paying a tutor (prices are same as PH to have spell cast + 100gp/spell level). I do want to remind you that scribing takes a day per page, if I am not mistaken.

    The hiring method is the most economical paid method, for buying scrolls is not very cost effective.

    @GimliFett - go ahead and swap away.

    Edit to add - lock is in Jax's posession, but the door is not secured using it (since it cannot).

    I am just basing the doors to be similar to those I have on my barn/shed. Those particular doors are designed to keep things from getting in and not those from in from getting out, so they only have the latch on the outside. To save money, what most people do is have the latch be only one sided. If this practice is done today when such things are pretty cheap, one could imagine what they would do if making the pieces were more expensive like in our current situation.

    The thing is though, I was wondering if it would be possible for her to already have added a few spells to her spell-book, as I'd find it unlikely that in three levels of Wizard, she has still to seek out a colleague to study with. Am I allowed to add those spells to her spell-book (at the correct cost on her money, of course.)

    @ Rux - Daven knows that normal weapons will not be very effective against lycanthropes, like a wererat. Acid, cold, fire, and other elemental/energy attacks and weapons made of silver work normally.

    For all - peace bonds can be broken easily, but take a move action (with the standard drawing weapon rules). However, if one wishes to retie them, one will need to make successful Rope Use check (DC 15) to undo the intricate knot.

    Those who have a Letter of Marquee do NOT need to have their weapons peace bonded, for they are working under the authority of the government.

    @Maryring - certainly, if you wish to have purchased some spells, that is fine. To help out:

    Under Goods and Services:
    1st-level: Caster level 1 x 10 gp = 110gp/spell if scribed (10 + 100 for 1 page)
    2nd-level: Caster level 3 x 20 gp = 260gp/spell if scribed (60 + 200 for 2 pages)

    So she hasn't been able to swap out spells from her own research with that of a colleague.

    Anyway, I've now bought the spells "Shield" "Nightshield" "Nerveskitter" "Ray of Clumsiness" and "Body of the Sun". If that's okay with you.

    I should probably by some more spells eventually though. There's so little to spend money on as a wizard when the good magic items are just out of reach.

    Spells are fine with me.
    Another thing to consider is you can swap out spell for spell through retraining. I believe the cost is 5gp/spell level or something like that (it is in PH2 on page 185)

    Quick question about Jaeur's auras: According to my information on Marshals, the major aura should only be at +1 (+2 at 7th level). That means +5' extra land speed currently from Motivate Urgency Aura.
