Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
Just a note from the narrators - Many of you haven't been sending pms to both narrators. If you could send pms to both me and Exachix, it would help with the behind-the-scenes work.
Thanks.

And rebellion...Go ahead and rebel. Nobles pm support, dukes and kings openly declare.
Or nobles can openly declare if they wish. All up to them.

Rebellion will end Wednesday, around 8:00pm GMT. Go fire those moose cannons.Last edited by Castaras; 2008-02-04 at 04:48 PM.

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
There is power levels to think of but the peasents have the numbers. Had a certain other duke not made amends with how much he had given his subjects this year, there would have been another "peasent rebellion" going on as well.

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
I oppose the rebellion.
People are saying 4 out of 25 is too low. But is it? Simple math skills here. 4 nobles, each getting 4 gold is 16 gold, leaving 9 for the duke. But, suppose he gave them each 5? He would get the same amount as all of them. You have to admit, asking a duke to pay each of his nobles as he pays himself is a bit excessive. I know he could have done it a better way. Pay two of the nobles 4, and the other two 5, and reverse it next year, thus making it fairer, but honestly, I think you're all overreacting.

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
I have to pay off the peasants debt from when they chickened out as well.
So I really only get 5 this turn.
I gave them all 5 last turn, so I get very little profit overall.
A word to the wise Stu, several of your compatriots have higher power levels than you do.
Also, I oppose the rebellion.

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
Actually Raistlin, it is when you consider the fact that the dukes also receive a minimum of 3gc themselves while that's the max a noble can receive. When you add that and the fact that this isn't the first year waledo's done this and I think there's no reason for Stu not to rebel this time.
Noone's expecting dukes or the king to give out the exact same amount to their subjects as they keep for themselves but 9gc compared with 4gc is 5gc more gc than any noble.
Adding on the average of 4 gc personal income compared with a noble's 2gc, and that's 13gc against 6gc - more than double what nobles are receiving and people have rebelled for alot less alot sooner in previous incarnations.
And you paid them only 3 gc each in the first year so it averages out to 4gc a year which means that this isn't the first time you've shortchanged your nobles.

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
Edit: I admited to that mistake though, and since I've already been causing trouble for Exy and Cas I though I'd wait until next turn to ask for my totals so I can give my nobles more.
Errr, Fleeing?
I got 5 gold for myself last time.
I'm using the extra 4 gold this time to pay off Exachix because I didn't kill myself on the last turn.
Could you please not try to kill me now?

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
So from what information I've obtained from your nobles. That means you paid your nobles 12 our of 20 in the first year, 20 out of 25 second year, 16 out of 25 the third year.
That means you've kept a total of 22 gc compared with your noble's 12gc.
Add to that an average 4 personal income compared with with your noble's 2, that means you've kept 34 gc compared with a noble's 18gc. That's a total of 16 gc more than your nobles in 3 years which is more than excessive in my books (people have rebelled and succeeded for alot less in previous incarnations)

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
I gave each of my nobles 5 gold. I would have given them more but I had to keep some to pay off war debts.
But still 5 is a pretty fair share.
Oh and I am going to stay neutral for now. My nobles can do as they please.Spoiler

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
Because I need to think of a better reason than multiple game-spanning revenge to call for his execution.
Whoah. It also seems he is quite good at rooting around through the information. No wonder he lasted so long as King last game. At least he isn't bugging me for dirt on the Dukes anymore...

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
Why can't we just let the past remain in the past? The old King's bloodline won't end that easily, he's got offsprings hidden in all corners of the kingdom plotting to be next in line for the throne.
As for digging for dirt, it wouldn't have been very smart to just go up to the dukes -
Me: "Hello, can you tell me how much you've been embezzling so I can rebel and replace you?"
Duke: "Schedule that fool's execution for tommorrow morning"

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
I have one point yet to make. The duke wadeldo may not be the greatest duke, but he is a good one. He always gives each of his nobles equal amounts, and as far as I can tell, is a fairly fair man. But will Stu be the same kind? We have no idea what kind of man he is. All we've seen is that he's greedy. I'd rather take my chances with Duke wadeldo than Duke Stu.
((Also, if I ever become a duke, either from Vespe being killed, or being appointed, I reserve the right to be called The Thin White Duke. Cookie for reference.))

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
So by your logic, someone who gives his nobles 3gc every year would be considered a good duke too? The fact is, he has on average only paid his nobles only 4 gc a year which is low even if he's been receiving relatively low amounts himself during all 3 years.

"In response to all your comments I say this:

And I don't know what I'm doing.
In any sense of the word/s.
I'm not even sure of what I started saying and if anything I think has some kind of relevancy to what's happening.
Tis fun!

After careful consideration of the arguements (and the fact that we cant be rid of Wadledo so soon!), I must oppose the rebellion.

Re: Ultimate Greed III [Now Playing]
I've just remembered something.
In Ultimate Greed II, Travelling angel had to share 30 gold between 6 people, including him. Instead of giving everyone 5, he gave everyone 1 less and kept the rest for himself.
This resulted in Raiser initiating the first and most popular rebellion of the game.
Waddy did exactly the same thing three rounds in a row.
If that doesn't persuade anyone, I'm splitting 67% of Waddy's horde between everyone who is part of the rebellion.

I will also change my stance to opposition of the rebellion.
I think we should give wadledo a chance to correct his wrongs. I mean you guys gave me a chance so I would like to give wadledo a chance.Last edited by Raiser Blade; 2008-02-05 at 04:38 PM.
