Re: Haruki's Historically Hilarious Honey-covered Random Banter #94
Hmmm. Alarra and I have something in common. (Gasp! an Alaskan that doesn't like salmon?!) I love fish, but salmon just tastes...off; not sure how to state that more clearly.
Also, I'd like to thank you Canadities for finally sending some of your Dry down to my grocer. *hugs her can of Ginger Ale*

That actually makes sense, MS. I'm not much a fan of fish in general, but I like salmon because it doesn't taste all fish-ey.

I'm a fish eater.
LOOOOVVE fish!
I won't date chicks that refuse to eat seafood based simply on the amount of seafood that I eat. We'd never be able to decide where to go eat. And I, being the sucker that I am, would always fold and end up eventually hating the fact that we always go where she wants to go, even though it's my fault for buckling like a belt.
IE: Better off just dating other seafood lovers.

Re: Haruki's Historically Hilarious Honey-covered Random Banter #94
Oh indeedie. Similar (though not necessarily identical) tastes in food is a must. If we could never agree on where to go for a nice night out it would be tough. Of course, on the flip side, it's also a bother when the other person won't actually contribute to the discussion on where to go. *ahem*
Nothing like this kind of thing...
Boy: Where would you like to go eat?
Girl: Wherever you want. I don't care.
Boy: You sure you don't want something particular? How about Fishey Heaven?
Girl: I'm sure.
....later on....
Boy: You okay? You don't seem happy.
Girl: Okay, I confess. I don't really like fish.
Boy: Why didn't you say something?
Girl: I didn't want to be a bother.
Boy:
Just saying "I'd rather not have fish" would not usually upset a person. At the very least you can then choose a place that serves other stuff too.Want to meet some of the most awesome people on the internet? Come to the Baltimore/DC Area RenFest Meetup 2012!

Also, most places that serve fish understand that some dates don't care for it and are nice enough to put something else on the menu. Just ask for the surf & turf...hold the surf.

Re: Haruki's Historically Hilarious Honey-covered Random Banter #94
Hey....I've gotten much better about that . Although with me it isn't generally that I'm not saying ahead of time that I don't like a place or want to eat there.....it's that I don't realize that until I get there.
I'm personally not a huge fan of most seafood, but I love shrimp, and there's some fish that I really like, so I'm still perfectly content to head to any seafood place.

Re: Haruki's Historically Hilarious Honey-covered Random Banter #94
Too bad, Curly. But at least it's not permanent.
You know what I just realized? Mandy Patinkin, who plays Inigo Montoya in Princess Bride, is also the head grim reaper Rube in the show Dead Like Me. Huh. Looking at him, I would have never guessed it.
I came to this realization because I watched a British horror movie last night called Severance, and it had one of the grim reapers from Dead Like Me as the lead. Severance was fun, by the way. Really gory, but funny.

Yeah he was scary good in Dead Like Me. He was also one of the profilers in Criminal Minds, until this season.

And now Dead Like Me and Criminal Minds are both returning in some propensity without Mandy Patinkin. Oh well. Maybe he'll go back to doing commercials plugging prescription medication.
And I've seen spiders like that in Florida.Last edited by Premsyl; 2008-02-20 at 03:04 AM.

I haven't seen one that big myself, but they're definitely around. Wow, look at the legs on that fella. He must be about the size of a dinner plate.
What was it that Douglas Adams said about Australia? "The second confusing thing about Australia are the animals. They can be divided into three categories: Poisonous, Odd, and Sheep."

It's not a central European country bounded to the north by Germany, to the east by the Czech and Slovak republics, to the south by Italy and to the west by Switzerland.
