Survivors of the Fallen Ship - Hunting Group (IC)

The hunters travel on Wolfman's sled. The snow is soft and a bit empeding, but the travel goes on fine. The group prooceds south, trough the river, crossing it in a place with shallow water; the he goes east, crossing carefully the forest. No one approaches you: no sign of civilized creatures, and the animals stay distant from you. You finally arrive in a large open area, with scattered trees and bushes. A far rock hill blocks the path to southeast. This place is known to be full of animals, and is a well-aquaitained hunting ground.

There are footprints in the snow, of a large animal probably. The air is cold. All around is silent.

The journey lasted 2 hours and an half. All the character without a cold weather outfit on please do 2 Fort Saves. Survival checks are allowed to get bonuses.

Albrecht isn't affected by the cold. Mirthos is, istead. He receives (1d6+0)[5] unlethal cold damage and has mild hypotermia.

As the hunters stop, they notice footprints in the soft snow. They are recent, but you don't see any animal nearby. There are some trees and bushes blocking your path to south west: you can't cross them with the sled.

The caribou unhinges himself from the sled, and morphs back into a human.

We leave the sled here. The caribou may roam, they know their way back. We will hide the sled in these bushes for now. The clearing is through here.

He then proceeds to morph back into a caribou.

Albrecht

Having never seen anything but the simplest cantrips, Albrecht is shaken whenever the tribesman shifts forms. He'll dismount from the sled, and hide it in the brush, making sure to leave some distinctive landmark to find it again.

Having successfully hidden the sled (he assumes), he'll follow the caribou through the treeline into the meadow. Speaking in whispers now, making light conversation, "So why are you wandering these wilds, friend?"

Does Hide allows you to hide other stuff? I don't think so. Anyway, I think that I have to use the size modifier of the sled, along with his Dex score (wich is 0, so -6 modifier)

Carmon covers the sled with some bushes and branches. A good examination could find it easily, but it could pass unnoticed by a distracted observer.

Approaching to the meadow, you don't see any animals, however, the tracks keep going towards a zone with a more dense vegetation, approximately 45 ft from you.

You can hide things with the hide skill. You can also hide other creatures. It's in the skil description. Small things like knives and stuff you Sleight of Hand though.

Also, ya know what's funny? None of us besides the ranger can follow traks. We don't have the track feat. I find this silly. Thank you for ignoring that.

dman11235, you're right, it's knowledge (nature) check, but you didn't roll high enough.

Carmon's arrow hits the animal. It stops its run, turn back, and then charges at the hunters. It's similar to an horse, and has two horns in the top of his head.

The creature tries to attack Carmon rushing on him.

The beast hits hard, but Carmon manages not to be pulled up. Albrecht's arrow almost hits his comrade, but the human is lucky: the beast takes an arrow wound on its head.
