Deneith blocks all three strikes with his own blade before slicing at Crowbar again with a somewhat weapon-inappropriate battle cry of "MOUNTAIN CRUSH!" (12 damage; you feel that one through your DR)

"And what are you learning from this?" he asks.

Bazranak immediately goes to stand next to Nozomi and tries to swipe some of her popcorn.

"It's different. Fear and doubt are very easy to inspire in most creatures, since they're already there to some degree. I'd have to figure out how to alter perceptions, and then practice doing it subtly enough to only change a color slightly, and even then I think it would take more power and concentration than is worth it. Unless the artificers can help with that."

"Actually," Crowbar responds, "Yes. I think I just figured something out. WHIRLING DEATHSTRIKE!" AP-001 suddenly leaps into the air and does a quick spin, bringing his practice sword down on top of the Commander's head in the process. It looks like a precursor to a flying leap attack.

Deneith grunts under the blow, then shifts forward and smacks Crowbar twice (13 damage after DR). "Excellent! I like your spirit. Technique could use a little refining, though," he says to the Warforged.

"Another lesson, Mr. Bertrand, is to focus attacks on an enemy you know to be damaged, like Mr. Crowbar here. It seldom pays to leave a damaged enemy undefeated; best to remove him from the fight."

"Do what?" asks the confused, lying dwarf. "Paint the Aether gold? Sure, why not."

Rather bothered by the California voting results, work dumping on him and forcing him to justify the work his boss told him to do, catching a cold and experiencing a flat tire- all in one day- Crowbar takes an angry stab at the Commander, not caring whether he is standing upright in the next few seconds. At least tomorrow/the next combat round is another day/combat round.

"Sorry," says Deneith, parrying all three attacks, "already had that taken care of."

Deneith fluidly shifts along with Crowbar, hitting him with an attack of opportunity. "Two lessons for you: first, this is the Thicket of Blades stance. Very useful." He follows up with another heavy swing. "Second, always ask for healing between engagements if it can be provided." (13 and 15 damage after DR).

Well, as one of the aforementioned support units, I suppose I'd better get over there, Zephyr says, moving over to the capstan. After all, even support units are far from defenseless. With those words, Zephyr points a finger at the commander and shoots a blue-white beam of frigidity at him.
