Anyway, spot/search/listen come up with nothing, the holes are closing back up, and on the other side was darkness.
The webs are just, webs. A spider runs away if you start to poke it.
Oh, wait, there is a rock loose on one wall.

You find that it's a rock.

It also loosens in it's hole.

"There's one way to find out," Illissa says as she reaches out and grabs the rock, giving it a good tug.

You hear . . . absolutely nothing.

The rock falls out ((You don't even need to roll)) And behind it is: another rock. With some sealant that was holding the rocks together.
You could take 20 on a search if you want though.
