I don't think Banjo has enough power... When Belkar/Haley/Elan believed in him in Dorukans dungeon, he had enough power to make a hair on your shoulder stand up (/hyperbole). It seems like a smaller island, so we can't say there's a lot of orcs, and even with all of them believing in Banjo, chances are it'll only give him enough power to shock them with a force akin to an outlet. Unpleasant, but rarely deadly.

Who said Banjo necessarily endorses Elan? If he is his own being, as the Orcs may have made him, he could disapprove of Elan's actions and despite Elan's status as cleric, still side against him.
