Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread VIII
Fireworks.
Pixie, not fairy. Faerie if you must.
The grim reaper is mostly brainless...
Mostly cause in secert i've been learning the dark arts of fireworks behind your backs
I have nothing against it. It's just Nameless's elitism about fireworks that makes me angry.
*wait's until the Inkscape and Fireworks users destroy each other, so that Flash may rise from the shadows*
I'm the only Flash user in Abr, aren't I?

I used to have nothing against Inkscape, but then everybody kept asking me why I didn't get it. I am so annoyed that I now hate inkscape for making everybody ask me why I didn't get it.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread VIII
Inkscape is a free, intuitive vector graphics program.
Fireworks is a high quality bitmap editor.
Flash is a great animator.
They each have pro's and con's, and are best in different situations. If you use all three, you're laughing.
And now:
Pineapple Apocalypse!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread VIII
Not really, just clever.
Look, Rand, I never said that fireworks didn't have it's problems.
Mainly with re-sizing and colouring, but you can get round the colouring part.
I'm just saying that if i have it, I might as well use it since I can do more on it and it's the kind of program I'm going to need to use for my coars in september.
I find tha Inkscape is only good for simple cartoons, and that drawing anything realistic is a freaking nightmare, I mean you can't even shade properly, and I'm not sure about the new virsion, but on the original you can't even rub out, it took me like 15 minuets to work out how to colour fill and even with that, it keeps crashing ... and saving your work is also harder then it should be.
...
YOU CAN'T EVEN COPY AND PAST OTHER PICTURES TO IT!
so yeah, I just find Fireworks a better program.Last edited by Nameless; 2008-08-24 at 04:10 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread VIII
Because I have used both and on the whole find that Inkscape is easier to use, gives better results and crashes less.
Also:
Lookit me! I'm a 1/2 pixel line! I can't be done in Fireworks!
I used it in my most recent comic. I'll probably be using it more extensively, too.
Fifteen whole minuets? Wow. And saving is harder than Ctrl-S?
Can so.Last edited by Ninja Chocobo; 2008-08-24 at 04:15 PM.

I mean finding your work after you saved it, sorry, didn't explain it properly.
And I pressed COPY.... PAAASSTTTT... nothing happened
Actually, it wouldn't even let me press the past button.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread VIII
Of course you'd be angry at Inkscape for anything! ANYTHING!!! You're so desparate, that you're implying that the 'past' button doesnt work, because it really doesnt take you to the past.
Seriously nameless, check your grammar! I'm certain it's spelled 'paste' even in british.Dark Souls Remake in a Nutshell

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread VIII
That's not grammer, it's spelling... Well, typoe actually...
And like I said, I don't actually hate inkscape.
@Mega: Very nice, try useing the "Glow effect" too, it will make it look nicer, but don't make the glow exactly the same colour as the swirly stuff, make it a lighter shade.
You find it difficult to find your saved files? Sounds like your fault.
Oh, and another thing I love about Inkscape? Pressing Ctrl and using the scroll wheel to zoom.Last edited by Nameless; 2008-08-24 at 04:24 PM.
