Re: The Gem Sea Sailors
Ow, a one...
A hustling sailor grabs the box in front of you, and begins bringing it up to the deck. Good job getting that crossbow out, but I got to take the whole crate up to the rest. I just hope we can drive these guys off before they get down here to steal everything...
Spoilerroll initiative people, boarding's happening soon

Re: The Gem Sea Sailors
Two of the enemy archers, the captain, and two of the sailors trying to get to your ship were slowed.
Ok, this, http://s468.photobucket.com/albums/r...rrent=ship.jpg, is my horrible rendition of the battlefield. Call your positions, I'll set up the crew, and we can go.

Re: The Gem Sea Sailors
SpoilerYou have to poison them right before you fire? I figured they were poisoned at character creation. I do have to make a reflex against nicking myself if I crit fail the attack, but I wasn't aware of any extra procedures.
Consider my attacks un-poisoned for now.

Re: The Gem Sea Sailors
The captian goes over, not quite dead, but blind, slowed, and badly wounded.
The pirates archers fire into your crew, scoring a few hits but nobody goes down.
The pirates on the deck scatter and flee the greasy mess, some retreating but two charge forward, swinging their cutlasses around, inflicting a few more wounds.
The crew's crossbowmen fire into the backs of the fleeing pirates, one takes a lucky shot to the back of the head and drops to the floor.
The crew on the deck, much inspired by the magical assistance counter attack, but with more entusiasm than skill. The enemy captain does however, recieves a cutlass thrust to the throat. He goes down.

Re: The Gem Sea Sailors
Menchi speaks out in a loud, clear tone.
"Your captain has been felled in battle. According to the first and most ancient Code of Piracy, it is your right to vote to surrender." Though the crew looks enthused about the fighting, Menchi knows to honor the code, and would like to prevent any bloodshed.
