Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
I used Xara to make mine. If only it werent a trial version... I reccomend you try it though. Its simple to use. Only problem is, since the trial expired I cant take his hat off. (I'm really just too lazy to try.)

I've been using Micrografx Photo Magic to draw lots of stuff from scratch, incl my avatar. You can see some of my "regular" art at my Elfwood pagehttp://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/loth/b.../bubbamae.html

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
The avatar I'm using now I made myself. Her name is Melilot, a halfling paladin in my story. She travels across the land with her male warpony, Daisy. The avatar was originally part of a picture I drew of the later chapters of my story. You can see it here. http://www.neon-nerd.net/img/group.jpg
I made all of it in adobe photoshop.

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
Hi guys & gals,
I'm a long time OOtS fan, and I caught sight of this thread, and couldn't help myself. I'd done a few random drawings, but nothing really that cool, but today I was inspired, reading all the threads, and I made myself in OOTS fashion. Hopefully, the image shows up on the left. All of you have done some really great work, I hope mine stacks up well with everyone else's. Well, as this is my first time posting, I really just wanted to say Hi to everyone, and that the creativity here is great.
Edit: Oh, I did my avatar in Paint Shop Pro 7. Since PSP 7 lets you do layers and vectors it makes life fairly easy.

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
I spent far too much time with Photoshop making my avatar, but I'm quite happy how it turned out. It's my current PC, Aerik the fire sorcerer. If I get really crazy, I may try to update it every so often as the campaign continues. (It's already out of date since he now has a staff that he'll be using more frequently than that rapier, and hopefully he'll soon find a way to dye that garish blue cloak to something more appropriate to his own paradigm, like red or black.)
... I'm such a geek. :)Why are none of the good magical items ever properly stylish? As soon as I get back to the Prime Material Plane, I\'m doing some research about dyeing this stupid cloak of spell resistance a less garish color...

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
I have a challenge/request for anyone who wants to try:
A lady with shoulder length orange hair (toned down from 5th element orange just a little) with her hand over her face and eyes closed in frustration. Running around at her feet are several little kids two girls: one with blonde hair, the other really skinny with brown hair; and one boy with brown hair and a gun going "bang! bang!" and wearing desert camo. Feel free to make the image as large as you want to fit most of this stuff in. I'll scale it down and all that jazz on my own.Founding member of the Kaylee club. Yay! Thank you!
And for explanation: I seem to be the only one of my friends with a brain anymore. Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
My old avatar that I'll probably use again some day, based on my recurring character Meta of Antioch:
And, my recent new avatar, Darth Malak from Knights of the Old Republic, because I really have been playing that game too much:
Made in MSPaint. These are larger versions, cause scaled down to avatar size they don't look as good.Blatantly incoherent since 1997.

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
Yes, but just because I have a different avatar, I don't want to change my "identity," so to speak. I just like running around with a stick figure Darth Malak. :)

Here's my personal one, I'm posting incase my avatar changes later - made using Paint Shop Pro 9.
I'd be happy to try and make any that people request of me, I'm hoping to improve my style. I'll be making a few more mostly of my several adventuring parties.

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
Could you try making it stick out the side, and also tails are thicker towards the body, so that might make it more lifelike
ALSO: is that your own fey'ri you made up or is it one of the chracters from that Forgotten Realms series ( I think it was called "The Last Mythal)?Verminaard avatar by drKarling

Re: Personal OOTS Avatars
I decided I'd make a custom avatar in the stick figure fashion. I made mine, a hound archeon (open game content - summon monster IV) because I really like summoning them in combat. They are so cool.
Let me know what yas think.
